Here's something to help you in adventure mode. It allows you to breath fire for 500 time units/ticks/whatever. I'm not sure how long those things last, so yeah. It requires an empty flask and 3 rope reeds to make.

There is no such thing as a DEFAULT caste unless you have one within the critters

Try to use WEREWOLF:MALE/FEMALE/STANDARD same with the higher interactions

Some "chi" powers, making you nigh unbeatable in combat. Let's just say it can make an aardvark into an unstoppable one.... aardvark army

This is an interaction to disappear like the squid, but instead of leaving a pool of ink behind, it creates a puff of smoke --a vital skill for any stage magician or ninja.  A stealth skill is required, or it won't do much good.  It leaves soot behind on anyone nearby, and that could have a syndrome tied to it.

Could it be possible to change that soot into the gas Ironmen bleed?
Iron Ninja? Or you mean have the same lung destroying effect then yes just add a inhaled syndrome that has the same effect at Ironman Gas

So I am digging these new spells, but I was wondering, how do I go about giving these to my dwarves. I know I can add them directly to the creatures raws, but I was hoping I could use the REACTION->BOILING_STONE->SYNDROME effect to "teach" these spells to specific dwarves. Any ideas?

I had noticed the texts, but thought they were something only the game could generate!
[IS_SECRET:MUNDANE_RECORDING_POSSIBLE:objects/text/book_instruction.txt:objects/text/secret_chi.txt] This means we could have all the spells require spellbooks.  Better yet we could have modded monsters writing books, like mummies writing the book of the dead, with a ritual of mummification.  We could even have (otherwise) mundane writers, who can be inspired by muses or gods of writing, or just learn it naturally.  (Vampires could keep journals, Werewolves could write mysteries)

I am creating animals that "teach" these interactions through interactions, and they are buyable at embark.  They also have natural skills in mining and other useful skills as well as high teaching skill.  (They are a cheat, but one that is related to the theme of my games.)

Any Ideas of how to make a rensfield hunt bugs, without changing him into another creature, and is there a way to raise a whole skeleton and not just bones?

I suppose you could create two custom dwarven castes (male & female) that each have the spells, then use the [CE_BODY_TRANSFORMATION:Start:0] in your syndrome to turn the males into the male version of the caste, and the females into the female version of the caste by having one of two syndromes target only DWARF:MALE and the other targetting only DWARF:FEMALE (I'm unsure if two different syndromes can be applied to one material, but you could certainly make the reaction emit two materials. I think o.o). Then, your dorf is now a Dwarf Spellcaster Male or Dwarf Spellcaster Female.

I've been trying for awhile to get the various things on here to work; they all seem to have errors of one sort or another. I'm battling these right now.

From the golem process, we have:


[INORGANIC:GOLEM_STONE] produced in transmutation
[USE_MATERIAL_TEMPLATE:STONE_VAPOR_TEMPLATE]
[STATE_NAME_ADJ:ALL_SOLID:blinding flash of light]
[STATE_NAME_ADJ:LIQUID:molten failure stone]
[STATE_NAME_ADJ:GAS:blinding light]

But there is no STONE_VAPOR_TEMPLATE.

What was he meaning to refer to?

[Edit: An error with the werewolf was here. I have fixed and deleted it, since it was on my end.]



Lastly, whenever I add the spells onto a creature, the game crashes in worldgen with no errorlog.

Hmm, so there isn't any way to just teach the ability without changing the creature? I was hoping you could add it to the specific creature like you can with traits no (like no_pain, and such). Oh well.
