What exactly do you mean by "touch"? I can't seem to get it to work... or perhaps you're simply not allowed to sell invaders.  :(

If you select the cage to be traded, a dwarf will have to walk to it as thought to haul it to the depot, then realize it's in the depot and not actually move it at all, before it changes from pending to available for trade.

ok, picture will be coming shortly, if someone would explain spoiler tags and embedding pictures.

also, it seems if your cages are 1tile or less you can safely transport them to your depot. going to see how far away they can safely be.

I wouldn't suggest actually trading those wooden-caged birds to the elves...that aside, can you show us the description of one cage? I think tamed animals still show up as just their name right?

I was thinking...
Your dwarves can get captured by cage traps. And now, we know how to sell caged animals...
How much does a useless fisherdwarf sell for?
