Ok, is this some strange easter-egg?
« on: February 15, 2012, 06:46:13 pm »

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I swear to God that image is undoctored.

I have had glass arachnid titans, vomit slug titans, iguanas with poison stings and external ribs, but I have never had a human child titan.

Should I be worried or should I send somebody to cut its head off?

(Also, since it's a titan, can I butcher it?)

This happened with a farmer dwarf some time ago. (beware his deadly cabbage!) He's probably friendly, and I assume he'll walk off the map shortly. I have no clue what causes this, though.

I would imagine it is because that is a were-being. I've been told in adventurer to kill the terrible "night-beast" which happens to be a dwarf which takes a beastly form and can only be harmed by steel.

Interestingly he's listed as friendly in the unit list, but my dogs chase him actively.

Aaaand they just chased him off the map.

That was very anticlimactic.

I always kill every creature that announces its arrival, simply as a matter of security.  Titan?  DOGS ON YE!  Forgotten Beast? I have some untrained peasants who don't care about your dust!  Minotaur?  Actually, capture that one...  Elven caravan?  MAGMAAAAA!  Diplomat from the mountainhomes?  Bridgapult!  Migrants?  They announced their arrival, didn't they?

That gave me a chuckle.

It did, after all, say he was prone to great ambition. He just wants to grow up to be a big strong titan like the other titans.
Better than a fireman, I guess.

I lol'd. This titan is by far more epic than any other titan I've ever seen.

Best megabeast ever!

Maybe he was looking for his mommy?

Certainly you could argue that DF is a lot like The Sims, only... you know... with more vomit and decapitation.
If you launch a wooden mine cart towards the ocean at a sufficient speed, you can have your entire dwarf sail away in an ark.

I bet this kid wrote one of those legendary tomes.  But, since he's a little kid, he wrote a story about himself being awesome.  And, through dark magic, it's become true.  Now he will smash your dwarves in classic Mary Sue fashion, only to be defeated by Deus ex Machina, at which point everyone will see how awesome he really is and be friends.  Then cupcakes and punch will be served.
