What's the oldest world anybody's got going right now? Anybody patient enough to have kept making forts on the same world until it's 1100? I saw a 1092 in the map archive, I think...

1108. But this is due to the fact that, if you surrender to a goblin siege (don't ask), your next fortress will start in the year your previous fortress ended. I guess this is preparation for the armies yet to be implemented.

ooh, ive always wanted to try that!  how did it work out?  did you visit with an adventurer afterwards, or reclaim?

Actually, I've always wanted to surrender to a human seige where the civ leader shows up, and then see if the fort becomes a human town with the human leader present when revisited in adventure mode.  has anyone done this?

In the older 2d versions, I got to about 1147 before my mountain ran out of things to support my metal-based fortress.

The new version came out. Sounds like the guy above me has an older one, though.

Modded.

It would take years of non-stop playing to get even close to that.

Well, actually on a decent computer it would take 12 and a half days.

Go on the overland travel map as an adventurer with weather off and put a rock on the left and right arrow keys, the adventurer will go back and forth and back and forth.... It should take about one second for him to move a space. It takes six spaces for it to be a day. 365 days in a year, about 500 years to get to 2101

1X6X365X500 = 1095000 seconds. Divide that by 60 twice, you get 301.6 hours
So all you really have to do is take a computer that isn't really used and run it nonstop for a week or two.
