Interacting with Cabinet

I'm attempting to remove some objects from a cabinet, but I can't seem to get anything to work. My hands are empty, hitting 'u' on top of or around it seems to have no effect.

Help would be awesome, as I really want this spotted wobbegong dress.

Really, is anyone out there able to get stuff out of cabinets? I'm down so many dude for lack of non-cloth clothing. From what I've heard it may not help anyways.  :P

Problem for me too, I couldn't figure it out either. Kinda annoying to be honest, though I guess it could be bug reported and maybe fixed soonish.

Nope. doesn't work.

Maybe there is a workaround? Like deleting cabinets from raws or mod the game to use Chest instead (If only I knew how)?

Oh good, I finally found the thread discussing the problem I've been looking into.  That's nice.

It's a bug.  That's not so nice.

There isn't a fix as of yet.  Even not so nicer.

I guess I'll just pick up armor the old fashioned way, companion dump...

I can get stuff out of chests (chests) by simply standing on them and then pressing g.
not sure if this is the same for cabinets tough.

Doesn't seem so. but than again I haven't tried chests. If they work, is there any way to get rid of cabinets in worldgen and use chest's instead?
