Well, I found a purple Human Tower with 'I' symbol, so I think that's a necromacer's tower.

Hello guys! I'm trying the adventure mode and it's awesome! But I can't find any tombs or the sewers...

For example, in the cities I found Grates but I don't know How can I open it... Anyone Knows it?

Where are the necromancers towers? Where I can find some tombs? I love the idea of assault a tomb with my dwarf looking for some loot!

Thank you!
In order to get into the sewers you have to go around the city looking for a "sewer access".
It lists it on the same list as the shops and houses. It was a pain to find one but it looks like that's the only way to get into the sewers.

I can't seem to find any shops, and there are only a few houses in the town, the rest is fields.
...250 years not enough for cities to grow?

EDIT: Actually, worldgen grinds to a halt after something like 200 years on 65x65 worlds. I'll try a 1050-year pocket world and see if there will be any heavily-urbanized areas with lots of shops and sewers.

On my first try I got a city with huge open air bazaar and several strees worth of normal shops.

Also: You can access catacombs via main pool/hole in the city temples.

Figured it out. You tend to start in a hamlet, and to see shops you have to go into a full-fledged city. Silly me.

I have found some tiles with sewer access listed, however this apparently just means the existence of a floor grate on that tile and nothing else. Couldn't find any stairs or things like that… Also, when standing on top of a floor grate, you can look down into it---it seems there's a 1-Z drop before you land in the actual sewers. So I guess the floor grates are not the entrances we're supposed to take.

I don't see the Reader skill in my character creation screen... Is it elsewhere?
Also, can I see the effects of curses that have been placed upon me, and if so, how?

EDIT: Also, can books be read from Legends mode?

The reader skill is listed with the combat skills on the right, it's on the second page so you'll need to scroll down
The books are listed as artifacts in legends mode. It gives the description, but that's all.

The sewer entrance I found had a single tile of ramp going down into a room with a reservoir. it was a pain to find, but I'm guessing that's what yours was as well. There are floor grates all over cities, and most didn't have a "sewer entrance" label for that block.

I tried a 'sewer entrance', it turned out to be a stairway in the middle of the street. Led to a single room with a channel of water running through it - apparently the water continued on to other places and was the only way to access the rest of the sewer, but swimming through the channel to get anywhere else resulted in drowning (despite swimming skill). An ignominious end for Sakzul Bloodcraft, slayer of half a dozen bandits and criminals.

The best way to get under a city seems to be finding a temple, it connects straight into the catacombs. I found a ton of weapons laying around amongst the corpses just inside the temple, long before I ran into any brigands/outcasts/etc, seems like an easy way for a new adventurer to get rich - neither the corpses nor the cityfolk seem to mind the theft.

I've been wondering this as well, haven't been able to figure it out. They won't even drink if you lead them to a river.
