World Gen speeds are very weird for me. A pocket Isle could gen around 300 years in a millisecond and then suddenly slow down to one year every 30seconds. OR it could gen the whole Isle in less then a minute. Odd as hell really...

We both play, so no romance crisis here  :P

Just a crisis with the amount of work that needs to get done  :-X

Thank you, Toady! You are the best!  :-*

Well, you missed my birthday by two days, but it's a good enough present that I don't really mind. :)

Holy shit, getting cursed by a mummy is absolutely brutal.  One whack with the handle of a carving knife and I was gone (meanwhile my companions' body parts were hopping around and getting squished in weapon traps).  And it seems like the curse doesn't ever go away?

@Foot, I think the curses are permanent for now- it's a game over even if you survive in much the same way a missing leg is.

This release is also really crashy for me, particularly when loading world info after selecting what mode I want to play. Part of me says it's worse when I'm alt-tabbing away from it, but I suspect that's just my brain grasping at straws. I'll try a really short world gen instead of the 199 I ran.

EDIT: Fiddling around with that last world, I found if I waited for the entire intro movie to play I'd be able to load the world, but when selecting a site in Fort mode it'd still crash when I moved the cursor too far.

Jesus christ, undead really need a way to be perma-killed, having even one raisable part on the map will result it raising over and over again to attack your dwarves with no way to kill it for good

Tarran has the "Tarran Bug", a bug which causes the affected character to repeatedly hit teammates while dual-wielding instead of whatever the hell he is shooting at.

Yeah, it's a little silly that a hand or whatever can "collapse" and then be reanimated again immediately.  Maybe Toady will move up the implementation of pulping.
