PixelQuest: The Vault (A Forum Game (slightly) inspired by
Pixels)
You, and a group of five others were the only survivors of an attack made on your settlement by a strange army from a distant continent. The army is bent on conquering the world, starting with your homeland, and not only does the enemy possess superior technology, but also greater numbers.
Your homeland has no chance of victory.
However, there are stories of a mysterious vault, hidden away somewhere out there. A vault containing the advanced technology of a civilization long forgotten...
Technology capable of giving your homeland a fighting chance at survival.
You are the only six people standing between the enemy, and their goal.
But where is the Vault?~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-This is a Turn Based, Cooperative Adventure with certain RPG Elements. You, and a group of five others have a limited amount of time/turns to find the 'Vault' before the Enemy conquers your homeland. But that is a matter of sustaining a steady supply of food & water, fighting off marauders & the Army, gaining allies to assist you, as well as acquiring the tools and weapons you need through trading, crafting, or scavenging.
Also, the locations of all towns, marauder encampments, and military outposts are random. While the continent itself will remain the same, in the event you fail you will not be able to use what knowledge you gained on special locations for another attempt. (This also means there could potentially be multiple groups playing at once, with little worry of accidentally seeing the location of the vault, or having a teammate ruin things by metagaming his way to the location of the Vault. It could even add a reason to play a second time, even after winning.)
As the game is a bit Class/Stat Based, it would be a good idea to post, reserving a playing spot until a total of six people have joined, and then having a short discussion on jobs.
After all, a group of 4 Doctors probably wouldn't work all too well.
Combat with Melee Weapons is simply a roll based Dodge/Block/Hit system.
Combat with Firearms (And to some extent Casting) is based on the spread of your weapon, which is reduced by rolls representing your accuracy. Projectiles can punch through walls/materials, depending on the force of the weapon and the resistance of the material in question.
Injuries usually result in bleeding, which if left untreated, will lead to death.
Your character's death is permanent, so make sure to have someone with medical experience around.
