Teaching mechanics
« on: February 12, 2012, 09:39:27 pm »

If I have someone teaching other liberals, do the learners have to be doing nothing to get taught (ie not doing any activities/laying low) or can they do other things while being taught?

I'm actually curious about this too.

Maybe it's parasitic. It never loses its flavor because you eventually die from having your nutrients stolen by it.

After keeping some better records apparently they can, but they can only learn up one skill at a time it seems, which is why casual observation didn't answer my question :)

I'm pretty sure you can learn more than one skill at a time, but there are factors that could prevent you from learning all of the skills taught. The most likely culprit is that if the teacher isn't significantly better than you in a subject, you won't learn anything from studying under them. So even if the classes cover six skills, if you're within one skill point of (or better than) the teacher in five of them, you'll only advance in the one skill that you have a lot to learn in. There may also be limits to how high your skills can get from training based on the teacher's teaching skill.
