No!! I <3 Kanbei!

His drawback is 20% extra cost on everything.

Doesn't matter how many units you have when they are all massively overpowered.

I agree that in AW2 he was so awesome. In AW 1 and DS, he was 120/120 with that 20% price hike. He's nasty, but Grit and Colin are considered the genuine OP CO's. Oh, and Hachi and... well.. a few others, I forget.

Kanbei's a top tier CO, slightly borderline OP. Much like Sturm. But his high price tag does make life difficult for him.

You are so lucky Logical, pulling your SCOP just in time for it to start snowing.  :P

Bad timing for next turn, fine timing for this turn as I weather the brunt of your neotank/md tank.

I'm thinking next game should just have a "no CO with > 10% flat bonus". That excludes Sami, Nell, Colin, Kanbei, Sensei, Sonja (?), Hachi, Von Bolt, and Flak. Also Grit because for some reason everyone thinks he's broken/OP (but I find him super hard to use so I don't necessarily follow the logic).

I don't know why flak and not jugger. Sonja's bland except for some bad luck and good in fog of war. Grit's considered OP because the metagame has/had the tendency of infantry/artillery spam. Also, that extra range IS deadly.
Also, Sami? Her flat bonus is infantry and extra range for her transports. Her other ground is 10% weaker. Sensei is considered OP because of his spawning.

I will need to find the tiers someone put down for CO's. It's not necessarily right (he's the first to admit that) but it does give a good indication, particularly at the top of the game.

Because I forgot about him.

Sonja's bland except for some bad luck and good in fog of war.
Sonja has 50% bonus  counterattack damage.

Also, Sami? Her flat bonus is infantry and extra range for her transports. Her other ground is 10% weaker. Sensei is considered OP because of his spawning.

Sami's infantry has a huge boost and can capture in one turn. I included Sensei not only because of his huge flat bonus but also that.

Sonja's generally considered UP until the DS version, where all sorts of hell comes from that and she becomes more or less OP. Bear in mind that, if she's not in FOG, her powers are pretty useless aswell.

Sami has a 30% attack boost to her troops, and yes her SCOP allows single turn captures, but in general, she's not considered an overly strong CO. Mostly because she'll struggle to win the combats themselves. Besides, most CO's have a 20% boost to their units of speciality. Eagle has a 20% boost to air units and has 3 less fuel used on them, plus that 2 strikes in one turn for all bar foot soldiers. He loses 10% attack on sea units. Max has 20% attack boost to ALL DIRECT UNITS (his indirect to suffer to the point of never use them, but!) Drake aswell, has a 25% defense boost to sea units, whilst only losing 10% in air units.

Lash can come under question aswell under that >10% ruling. She gains 5% attack when she's on 2 stars of defense, 10% on 3 stars. Her worst position is on no stars where she's 5% under (then again, if you're on no stars, it's because you're a little desperate in the first place :P)

Basically, Sami and Sonja are not, in general, considered OP. Sami can catch the unwary, and Sonja's got quite an advantage in FOG, but neither frighten the bijeebs out of you. Other than that, that list is fine for exclusions.

Finished my turn and am joining adwarf's game as Hawke, because I played some AW on my DS yesterday, and remembered: I actually suck with Eagle unless I'm in practice.
