The logic in this thread is backwards.

We humans have been killing each other for many centuries long before we realized we were all related. The logical conclusion is that being related should not matter when it comes to killing each other. We shouldn't let spurious claims of distant ancestry eliminate the lust for blood that arises from the injustices our heinous enemies have and are inflicting upon us.

Peronsally, I think the logic is that Genghis Khan will kill the violence until it is dead. That's not too far off the mark  for his method of ensuring peace in his conquered domains. Treat the conquered remarkably well for the time period -- no forced conversions, no installing Mongol overlords, just a basic tributary system. They actually left the local governments more or less intact.

Unless you rebelled. Then he'd have the entire population slaughtered, the city burnt and razed to the ground and the fields salted so that nothing else would ever grow. Generally only had to do that once or twice and everybody else says, "Okay fuck that....here, take my tribute. And might I add, that's a lovely fur hat."

Perhaps it is the world that is backwards! After all, sanity is defined as rational and normal behavior, and normal behavior is defined by societal values!
