Aelis is in a forest. The sound of an escaped prey shakes him out of his daze. He was chasing a deer, bow nocked and ready.

Amane takes another sip of his beer. It will probably be the last one of today - he did not have any more money. He looked around. The tavern was a bustling place, and people entered and exited occasionally. It is nearing noon.

Morgan slowly walked out of the city gates, at the tail end of a large merchant caravan. The long line of covered wagons winded across the countryside. He could see a few fellow travelers tagging along, for the safety of themselves.

In the dark of the night, the prey you have been stalking is almost out of the civilized areas and is heading out of the 'gate', which is really just a square wooden frame. The guards talk among themselves and the prey.

This is a random town named Genericville, Sherz muses. Small enough that you could probably massacre without anyone knowing the better. It doesn't even have a night watch, and no-one locks their doors at night.
