Every map snow and ice?

I had a question. I'm not sure if i'm doing something wrong or this is a bug but every map i start is a snow map and the water is ice. Even when i go to climates that say hot the maps are still snow and ice and I have tried generating new worlds all together. Could someone tell me if i'm doing something wrong.

If you embarked in only a "hot" climate, and you see ice at all, then you game is...broken? Try a fresh install or something.

Be sure that your min/max temperatures aren't bugged either, or that temperature isn't turned off in the init file (if this shows up again).
