World of Legend - Winter Fall is Coming !!!
« on: February 11, 2012, 07:42:20 pm »

This will be a simple suggestion-strategy type of game where you (Those who suggest actions) lead a group of survivors trying to stand, or survive against the hordes of darkness. You will decide which Gods your people will follow, what structures to build, what troops to recruit, who leads, and everything else a ruler would do. You'll have to fight hordes of undead, stave of starvation, and begin the construction of a new world for your people to live in. Now lets get down to the fun part, creating our group.

To get started all you need to do is select a Region below, and then I will write up the first turn.

After two weeks of travel, down river, and through the sea, your people have finally arrived at an island in Savior's Sea. Here they seek to scratch out a new life, and begin a new with less worry over the forces of Darkness. Many of your people died on the voyage here, either from starvation, or as their ship sank into the ocean, and now only 200 of the original 400 still remain alive. Now it is time to begin the work that must be done to survive.

On the beach people mill about dragging lumber into pile, and organizing crates, and barrels of food as they await your orders. Not far from the beach is a rather wide grassy area, surrounded by forest, and with one side covered by the beach. From the forest you can hear the chirping of  birds, and high above the forest you see a snow capped mountain peak reaching into the sky.

The horizon by the beach bares the marks of five islands, two extremely close, and three far out in the distance.

Are buildings usable on the week they're built?
Are resources usable on the turn they're gathered?

We have enough food for two weeks. If either of the above are true, we can wait a week for the Hunter's Lodges, and should probably build five Woodcutter's Huts this week. Otherwise, I vote we go 2 Hunter's Lodges/3 Woodcutters' Huts.

You might want to reword that, unless having a spot on the floor to sleep makes people immune to diseases.

Quote from: Actions
- Build two Woodcutter's Huts
- Build two Hovels
- Search for Fertile Farmland

Your people set about their work immediately with half of them beginning the construction of hovels, and Woodcutter's Huts that will fill most of your basic needs. Over the next week the Woodcutter's Huts are completed, and the majority of the Hovels are completed, your people say they will be finished by the end of this week. Meanwhile, your search for fertile farmlands goes well when you find that the grasslands near the beach seem to be quite rich, and useful for farming.

Besides those going-ons several of your people have claimed to see boats on the horizon, or going between the closer islands, while even more claim to have seen groups of creatures moving within the forest. If there is something out their you believe the strangeness of your group will hold them at bay for a little while, but eventually they will get used to your presence, and come after you.

Adding a Glossary to the OP for any creatures, or things you discover, so they'll be readily available.

Put 40 people on woodcutting, have the hovels finished so our people don't die of exposure, and build a farm and a palisade. Prioritise the construction of the farm. Also call the town "New Hope".

Quote from: Actions
- Finish Building Hovels
- Build a Farm
- Man the Woodcutter's Huts

Your orders are given, and a large number of men head off to man the woodcutter's huts, and begin producing lumber for your use. Throughout the week the supply of lumber flows in, but is quickly used as the hovels are finished up, and work begins on a farm to supply your people with food. Towards the end of the week your food begins to run low, and you are forced to issue half-rations.

This enforcement may cause riots if it last more than two weeks, and if that happens you won't be able to contain the following chaos that would erupt. Several citizens have expressed an interest to call this new town "New Hope" in commemoration of their survival, and new home.

Build and man hunter lodge, finish farm. Look for easily accesible fishing grounds near the coast.
