Ria frowned. She had always felt a certain spark from Saint-he did have a soul, of a sort. Even a construct was born of the life of it's creators, had a certain lingering power. Given time, even the Saint could have developed...something.

Now the Spark was gone, whisked away. She felt a moment of grief, and it passed. Ria wished she had more time to speak to him more.

"...well, I guess it's true. You never appreciate someone till they are gone...

Alith sensed the loss of someone he knew, someone who was a companion, but he had no time. A mysterious man was dragging him up a staircase to see something.

Vulsano make Knowledge (History) and Knowledge (Geography) checks with +15 and +11 modifiers, respectively, to recall knowledge about Dannon.

Vulsano makes Knowledge (Religion) and Knowledge (The Planes) checks at a +13 modifier each to try to understand how such a feat could be possible.

((Just a reminder about the knowledge checks; I don't mean to pushy or anything, but I note that in any thread things off of the latest page tend to be forgotten.))

OOPS. I did forget.

History - Fail. :(
Geography - Dannon is the tip of a continent usually seen, but unmarked, on most world maps. Little else is known, but it is slightly smaller than Myirki.

As for Religion - You remember that even Celestials aren't one big happy family...
Planes - The devils have absolutely no way to do that - they would have to dimension lock the Outlands, Celestia's portals, and the neighboring planes' portals too.

Cryptic! :D

EDIT

The ship nears Noire. How should the party enter Noire? Legally? Illegally?

I'd be up for legally, but then again I'm not a spellcaster.

From your research, you know they have guarddogs, antimagic field projectors, and pat you down.

((So Vulsano's only hope is to put everything magical he has into a lead-lined box and stick it somewhere they'll never think to search...))

((Let's ask that in-character as well :P ))

Tali saw Noire in the distance. Ugly country.

From what little she knew it was...highly regulated. Which mean, crime flourished just under the skin. She had contacts-here, there, everywhere. There was money to be made, there was people willing to make it. The problem was contacting them...

She had spoken to some of the other Spellcasters, and decided to make some inroads. The party...no, her Family would be relying on her this time. Tali thought of them as that, now.

Not that she would ever be caught telling them that!

Tali tries to gain understanding and potential allies in Noire's underworld with a Knowledge: Local Check, using a +14 Modifier.

Luke was once again sitting on the mast of the ship. The sky was grey and cloudy, but it was still beautiful out all things considered. He was simply gazing out at the water when a flash of light appeared inches from his face. Before he could react Luke was tackled head-first by a winged suited figure. He doubled over, catching the figure as he tried to grasp his stomach while desperately flapping his wings to level himself out before he hit the deck of the ship. The figure was surprisingly soft. He looked down, seeing Neciel, he pushed her back an arms length away blushing as he did so.

Neciel was blushing as well, "Sorry, about that. I tried to get back as soon as I could." she said in a flustered tone. Neciel straightened her striped suit out, and fixed her blonde hair while looking away for a moment in awkward silence. "So, I got you the Saint's case. You've been selected to investigate this plane for evidence to clear his name." The look on her face was that of determination and her voice lacked sarcasm, Luke could tell that she was telling the truth without a doubt, but the question was why.

Luke was surprised by her sudden desire to help him, but it wasn't the first time this week he's been surprised by Neciel. "Wait, so why am I helping? Aren't I exiled here or something?" He scratched at his chin thoughtfully while asking the question.

Neciel's voice was noticeably irritated. "They went looking for the paperwork from when the attack was issued, but it went missing. There wasn't really any clues saying where it went to, but it isn't destroyable by any means. It's just as likely to be on this plane as any other, so you've been picked to search this plane. I figured that since we travel so much we might just come across it." Her eyes lit up, and she seemed to be filled with energy for a moment as she held her hands together hopefully. "If you manage to find anything at all I've arranged to have your exile status lifted. You can come back home!"

He thought about it for a minute, "You know, I don't remember my home at all..." he sounded sad that he still couldn't recall his memories of Celestia, but the place seemed so distant to him. "Now that I'm thinking about it, why a talking cat? I've been calling you Tabbytha this entire time. You could have at least told me your name."

She tilted her head to the side, almost lost in thought, yet completely aware. "I picked a cat, because I acted a little too quick for my own good. As for the name... I thought Neciel was obviously Celestial." She gasped and pointed in such a manner that might think someone yelled 'Objection!'. "You need to introduce me to the crew! It'll be so much easier to explain if you tell them of your new title while you're at it!" She sounded so excited, was this really the same cat that had been helping him in the past?

"Huh? New title?"

"Yep! Luke Tyrmitore, Planar Detective. Like the title? I suggested it myself." She looked at him with a cat-like happiness. Yep, there is no doubt that this is the same person. Tabbytha always liked suggesting new titles every month or two.

Luke facepalmed with a smile. "I do like the title. Let's talk to the crew." With that Luke flew down the ladder with Neciel in tow. The two went looking for everyone else.

((I think I'm having wall of text fights with myself this week. I haven't even written my short journal entries. :P))

((assuming Vulsano has imparted the results of his knowledge check to Rudra and Anya...))

Rudra steeples his hands in front of him.
"Hmm... Some pieces of information are lining up. Did you guys see the sky light up as we left the Dwarven Fortress? I felt a fluxation of some kind, and the Brachina was saying something about how planar transit is blocked by a sky-gliph... apparently it blocks some Conjurations. That's what she's got people doing in Dannon, helping her set up an alternate system, I'm guessing."
Rudra looks thoughtful for a moment.
"Perhaps we can do better than slow her down... maybe we can highjack her new system and hand it over to the Celestials?"

((@Sho: We're approaching Noire. Not landing there as of now. Right? I think Sky might have worded it wrong. Anyway))

Bael was hauling himself over the deck of the ship, a net full or wriggling silver fish in one hand, a spear in the other-when he saw Luke and...some sort of angel?

"Brother Luke!

Do beautiful women fly from the clouds to meet you very often?"
he said, with an easy grin.

He set his burden in a nearby barrel of fresh water, and took a short bow to Neciel, unaware that she had been Tabbytha. He had still been in the ocean during the disappearance of Saint.

"Shaer Taer*, Madame.

Kanesbael Tyrmitore."

*Elvish: Well met

((as for getting into Noire, one idea is to buy a Bag of Holding, have the other casters hop into it, and have Rudra use Overland Flight to fly onto the shore from the sea, so the casters enter town by foot and the rest of the team can dock the boat.))
