Luke was once again sitting on the mast of the ship. The sky was grey and cloudy, but it was still beautiful out all things considered. He was simply gazing out at the water when a flash of light appeared inches from his face. Before he could react Luke was tackled head-first by a winged suited figure. He doubled over, catching the figure as he tried to grasp his stomach while desperately flapping his wings to level himself out before he hit the deck of the ship. The figure was surprisingly soft. He looked down, seeing Neciel, he pushed her back an arms length away blushing as he did so.
Neciel was blushing as well, "Sorry, about that. I tried to get back as soon as I could." she said in a flustered tone. Neciel straightened her striped suit out, and fixed her blonde hair while looking away for a moment in awkward silence. "So, I got you the Saint's case. You've been selected to investigate this plane for evidence to clear his name." The look on her face was that of determination and her voice lacked sarcasm, Luke could tell that she was telling the truth without a doubt, but the question was why.
Luke was surprised by her sudden desire to help him, but it wasn't the first time this week he's been surprised by Neciel. "Wait, so why am I helping? Aren't I exiled here or something?" He scratched at his chin thoughtfully while asking the question.
Neciel's voice was noticeably irritated. "They went looking for the paperwork from when the attack was issued, but it went missing. There wasn't really any clues saying where it went to, but it isn't destroyable by any means. It's just as likely to be on this plane as any other, so you've been picked to search this plane. I figured that since we travel so much we might just come across it." Her eyes lit up, and she seemed to be filled with energy for a moment as she held her hands together hopefully. "If you manage to find anything at all I've arranged to have your exile status lifted. You can come back home!"
He thought about it for a minute, "You know, I don't remember my home at all..." he sounded sad that he still couldn't recall his memories of Celestia, but the place seemed so distant to him. "Now that I'm thinking about it, why a talking cat? I've been calling you Tabbytha this entire time. You could have at least told me your name."
She tilted her head to the side, almost lost in thought, yet completely aware. "I picked a cat, because I acted a little too quick for my own good. As for the name... I thought Neciel was obviously Celestial." She gasped and pointed in such a manner that might think someone yelled 'Objection!'. "You need to introduce me to the crew! It'll be so much easier to explain if you tell them of your new title while you're at it!" She sounded so excited, was this really the same cat that had been helping him in the past?
"Huh? New title?"
"Yep! Luke Tyrmitore, Planar Detective. Like the title? I suggested it myself." She looked at him with a cat-like happiness. Yep, there is no doubt that this is the same person. Tabbytha always liked suggesting new titles every month or two.
Luke facepalmed with a smile. "I do like the title. Let's talk to the crew." With that Luke flew down the ladder with Neciel in tow. The two went looking for everyone else.
