He makes Spellcraft and Knowledge (Arcana) checks to glean information from his surroundings, with +17 modifiers each!

'Let's see... Planes have a number of characteristics.' He readied a random spell and noticed the magical aura. 'Okay, so it's not dead magic. Time... I can't tell. I feel pretty normal, so it is not aligned to Good, Evil, Chaos or Law. '
Vulsano looked around, then with a sense of something tugging at him looked up. Far away in the sky, he could see roads and buildings from the top. They were almost exactly the same as the ones in front of him. The sky-roads ran parallel  to each other...

Rudra and Toman started towards the citadel.

The two walked along the very long, misty road. It took roughly 15 minutes to get to the dark structure. It had a large wooden gate, reinforced with steel strips, and made to swing open to two sides. One door was slightly ajar; from the inside, warm light seeped out and a glimpse of red velvety carpet could be seen.

Also, for Sky for reference:
In most cases, wizards charge a fee for the privilege of copying spells from their spellbooks. This fee is usually equal to the spell’s level x 50 gp.

(Scrolls cost a lot more.)
(Uhh... first of all, are you assuming you went back to Nio? O_o You *might* want to wait until this weeks session...)

(If we say that you tried to get these in Nio...)

<as scrolls>
Protection From Evil - 25 gp
Darkness - 150 gp
See Invisibility - 150 gp
Levitate - 150 gp
Magic Circle Against Evil - 375 gp
Tongues - 375 gp

Ebon Eyes - 30 gp
Heroics - 150 gp (though the material component is a bit weird...)
Mindless Rage - 150 gp
Slapping Hand - 150 gp
Snake's Swiftness - 150 gp
Mass Snake's Swiftness - 375 gp
Stolen Breath - 150 gp
Stars of Avandor -> couldn't find spell

((I guess, since we don't know how long we'll be spending in town once we get there, I'll put off buying spells until we canonically get there so I can try to persuade the group to let me spend time writing spells, and figure out how many I'll need to get as scrolls to bring on the road. It'll also be helpful to see if we can arrange some kind of transportation that allows us to work on projects like spell scribing and item creation.))

Rudra makes Knowledge (Arcana and Planes) checks to learn about his environs. (+22 modifier)

Vulsano realizes the party has started moving and rushes off towards the citadel, following Toman and Rudra.

Rudra makes Knowledge (Arcana and Planes) checks to learn about his environs. (+22 modifier)

Rudra notes the same things that Vulsano learned independently.
He also saw something strange about some of the buildings - they had nothing but the front wall, half of the roof, and a door. The angled roof was missing a half but it just stood there, like some invisible buttress was holding it up.

The citadel, on the other hand, seemed to be perfectly normal, or at least the doors were. Rudra could see no visible signs of magic or others.

Toman advanced to the citadel! He also changed his speech color to gold while nobody was looking since it made more sense for a Gold Dragon Disciple to speak in gold rather than red.

The warm citadel was surprisingly nice. A simple hallway lined in carpet was illuminated with torches. A few rooms branched off (four to be exact) and there were three other gates. The clop-clop of a horse was distant.

(I assume) Vulsano reaches the citadel! If he doesn't see any of his party members, he initiates a search for them.

Toman opened the door to his northeast, because he felt like it. :D (Also, about to put up the last three logs, just have to get their session titles.)

The door pushed forward, rustling as it brushed over the toughs of grass just outside the door. Within the room the scent of moist wood, flowers, and dirt filled the air. The stonework floor was cracked with grass filling in the gaps and the walls were equally coated in moss making the entire room appear a lush shade of green. As the grass neared the middle of the room it became waist high, lining itself with miscellaneous flowers that struggled to remain visible amongst the grass. In the middle of the tall grass there was an unrusted steel construct, but it seemed to be inactive and motionless. A thin coat of moss and flowers covered its body. It's head remained untouched by the nature that surrounded it, almost as if it were proudly displaying the gem encrusted symbol of St. Cuthbert that covered the front of the head on the mysterious being.

Tali Blackstone moved in behind Toman and whistled. Her eyes focused greedily on the bejeweled Symbol of St. Cuthbert.

"Now, that's a pretty trinket...I think it's only right we liberate it from yonder Golem and return it the Church proper. For a finders fee, naturally.

Everybody be ready if the Golem wakes up, yeah?"

Tali stalked forward, pulling out a wide, flat spade from her pack, intending to scale the Golem and pry the symbol loose...

Toman put a hand on Tali's shoulder and slowly, steadily drug her away from the construct. "I recognize this. Some organizations dedicated to St. Cuthbert created them as sort of champions. Hold on, let me see if the rumors are true..." He walked up to the construct. "They say the faithful can bring them to life with prayer." Toman placed his hand on the symbol of St. Cuthbert and closed his eyes.

I call upon St. Cuthbert of the Cudgel, the redeemer, the bringer of justice, he who rules over destruction, law, protection, and strength... In your name, let this construct walk once more; there is still so much of your work to be done.

Rudra enters the room after Toman and Tali, and makes a knowledge (something relevant) check about Warforged!
(+22 to Arcana, Planes, or Religion, and +9 for Dungeoneering and Nature)
(also +5 to identify creatures, because of my skill trick  :D)

Even Tali was respectfully silent for the prayer, leaning on her spade and bowing her head. While she paid no worship to any Godly being, her Da had raised her to respect the faith of others. As Toman finished, she brought her shovel back up and slung it over her shoulder, stepping beside him.

Vulsano eyed the statue as Toman prayed, waiting to see the reaction it might have.
