Spoiler: NON-OWNED SHIP ROSTER (click to show/hide)

Just realized 'new' ships shouldn't have any crew nor captain. >.>

Anyways, here is the list for people who missed it or otherwise don't want to look for it!

I will personally pay for most of the ship. I have about 18,000g, and little to spend it on right now. I'll probably get a +4 Glove of Dexterity at some point, but whatever.

We're going with either the unnamed ship or the Jolly Snatcher, since both are from Noire (known for good boats). So between the boat and the crew, we'll be spending about 4,000-5,000g. I never negotiated with the captain, so I might be paying an extra 100-200g (not that I care).

Rae has either 12 or 14k, don't remember, so we can go split the cost if you'd like Fool. :D

((Sure, we'll split the cost. Shouldn't be too much between two people. I think we should get the Galleon, because it's bigger, unnamed, and cheaper. We'll need the space for loot.))

((I failed to notice this is the interaction thread and not the main thread. I think all OOC conversations should be shuffled over to the main thread whenever possible so this doesn't get too clogged with non-NPC interaction.))

Tali swaggered up to the magic district.

"Unfinished business..." she muttered.

Tali took another look at the...

Pair of unidentified goggles.

It had been sitting in the parties chest gathering dust for almost a week. She remembered her appraiser friend mentioning it was magic...so, she was here to get it identified. She wasn't about to just put it on without checking first.

Action) Find someone to identify the goggles

After nearly a full day of sleeping his hangover off, Rudra finally mutters into his pillow, "I am never drinking that stuff ever again." and hauls himself out of his bed with a groan. He couldn't even properly remember going to the inn. Or having purchased a room at the inn. So he checks his pack to make sure he still has everything.

"Okay, let's see... the others were saying about going to a Necromancer's Tower by boat... so I should... head to the Mage Guild, and barter for some spells to put into my book." Rudra shakes his head to clear the last of the 'hangover gremlins' away. "It's a port town, they've got to have something usable there for purchase... unless they keep all the navigation spells to themselves to sell as a service..."

Rudra buys himself a cheap breakfast, and heads for the Mage Guild.
(to whoever's relevant)
"Excuse me, I'd like to purchase some spells to write into my book. I can pay cash, and I have a few of my own that I can share, as well."

@shoruke

The reception looked honored.

"Well, sir, as our mage's guild is very... erm, inexperienced, we are honored to share our spells... Only the material expenses are requested."

Rudra notices the mages casting dancing lights and looking amazed.

"We do have many marine spells <=Stormwrack>, but few of us can actually use them...

@Dwarmin

Tali met a magical appraiser. He asked 100 gold pieces for the appraisal.

They were identified as goggles of minute seeing.

((This takes canonically after the Necromancers tower))

Riawilde had always enjoyed making small things-and enhancing them. There was a certain...beauty, in creation. As opposed to destruction, which her work usually entailed. The tenants of her faith were all about balance, after all.

She had converted a portion of the ships hold into a makeshift workshop, setting runes of silence and stability within a circle of her own choosing, along with many small craft tools, both arcane and mundane-though, she didn't need many of them. Her work was enchantment, forming the living Ironwood she produced into weapons, tools and armor with willpower alone-or otherwise enhancing existing items with her magic.

It was her clans traditional way of crafting-and the mark of Ironwood marked her personal growth as a servant of the Spirits. She had been quite surprised when Brightwing returned that morning after the battle at the Necromancers Tower, with gifts of knowledge from thankful spirits she had freed from captivity-apparently, her actions had been noticed, and rewarded.

A few of the crew members and her fellow party members had inquired as to what exactly she was doing, and she had merely shrugged and smiled. She wasn't sure how her first designs would be taken. Imagination was a fickle thing...

Riawilde picked up the block of Ironwood from the circle, and and looked at it from another angle. This one...would make a fine shield for Ser Toman, a fine replacement for the battered steel plate he carried now. She was already trying to think of names for it, powers to place upon it...she would have to ask him later his preferences.

"So," said Joshua, "if you are thinking of going to a continent other than the Continent, you'll need documents. It takes months to file them, so I'll just use my Forgery skill to make some. Just fill out these blanks, please."
"Yes, I know that there are a lot of blanks. Some countries, especially Noire, want ALL of your information, just in case you are a problem and they need to detain you. If you are an arcane/divine magic user, you need a spellcaster record, which I'm forging too."

((Time is roughly after Nio and before Necromancer's Tower))

Toman and Kanesrae filled out their visas, Rae electing to use her old class information for sake of ease although it in no way reflected her current abilities. Toman, for his part, couldn't help but wonder if there was a more sinister reason somebody would need all this information.

Riawilde was unused to the concept of filling out paperwork. Why didn't they just have their elders memorize these things?

Name:  Riawilde Tyrmitore. Note, the second part is my clan name, and the second half of the first is my professional designation.
Race:   Elf, naturally...
Age:     216 years to be exact. Not a day over 220.
Gender: Last I checked, I still possess all the necessary components to qualify as a Female

Levels: Spirit Shaman 11
Hit Die: 11d8+11

Total wealth approximation: 1210 pieces of Gold coin. But I'd like not to be judged on my material goods alone. The Spirit is eternal, wealth transitory...

Place of Birth: I was born in a cool forested glade during a tremendous thunderstorm-My mother said she was afraid the power of storm would color my emotions black, ere I was fairly born...but, I did not inherit the characteristic fury of my clan. Also, I don't remember exactly where. Don't you think the circumstance matters more than the place?

Reason for Entrance: Protecting my sister and purifying the land. For, this land groans you know-it writhes in pain, every cut of an axe against a tree, every cruel pick tearing asunder the stones of the mountain...

Past Crime Record:  I do not obey your laws, so I have nothing to put here.

Spellcaster? Yes, though by your standards, my powers are granted boons, earned through years of devote worship, and not inherent.

Metamagic Feats: I have earned the metamagic feats "Empowered" and "Purified". One is the spirit of a Great lion warrior, who gave his life to defend his tribe-the other the spirit of a humble flutist, who perished in grief, but with a pure heart. They were husband and wife you know. Such tragic stories I could relate...

Are your fellow travelers able to vouch for you(At least two(2) vouchees)? My sister Kanesrae, certainly...and...perhaps my fellow spirit talker, Luke.
If not, why? This is a very sad follow up question.

List of magic items, along with pluss(es) {Enchantment specifications not needed):

A Periapt of Wisdom (In truth, tis also my Shamanic emblem of rank)
A Cloak of Charisma (A gift from my beloved, Bael.)
Gloves of Dexterity (With beautiful green trim.)
Ring of Resistance (You wouldn't know how useful these are)
Ring of Protection  (A relic of my fathers-he said he used it as a young fighter)
Brooch of Shielding (I overpaid for this gaudy jewelry, certainly-but I've seen so many magic missiles lately! It turned out for the best)

---------------------------------
Tali considered filling it with complete junk. She rubbed her jaw, then reconsidered. She wanted something a customs officer would pass over with a second glance. In fact, she found writing the rough truth sort of...liberating.

Name: Tali Blackstone Skalagrimsdottir (And if they never learn my ancestral last name, all's the better, Tali thought to herself)
Race: Mountain Dwarf
Age:  115 (I feel older than that.)
Gender: Female

Levels: 4 Rouge/4 Fighter/4 Street Fighter (Sometimes wished I hadn't spread my skills around so much...)
Hit Die: 4d6+4d10+2d8+36

Total wealth approximation:  3000 Gold (...I promised myself I'd never be poor again...)
Place of Birth:  Fortress Brighthelms (I don't remember what my Da said to me when I left. But it hurt. I remember that)
Reason for Entrance: Professional Blade for hire and Technical Specialist looking for work (Backstabbing wench and tomb robber, in other words.)
Past Crime Record:  I was busted for stealing a caravan of Longland wheat and spent a year in jail (Of course, to a Dwarf, a year isn't all that long...Humans.)
Spellcaster? Ah, no
Metamagic Feats(if needed. Divine casters also write domain(s)):

Are your fellow travelers able to vouch for you(At least two(2) vouchees)? Surely, Kanesrae the Elf and her sister, Riawilde (I barely know the lass, but she's cut from the same cloth her sister is..)
If not, why?

List of magic items, along with pluss(es) {Enchantment specifications not needed):
Magical Axes
Repeating Crossbow
Boots of Striding and springing
Earing of Resistance
Amulet of Health
Gloves of Dexterity
Ring of Natural Armor

Paperwork was nothing new. It was always boring in comparison to the job that's related to it. Luke wasn't very happy that he had to bypass the law to travel like this. He started filling in the questions as professionally as he could. He quickly went down the list of questions until he hit a snag. He walked up to Joshua looking around nervously, "So what do you do if you don't know where you're from? I don't exactly remember anything past a couple years ago."

Spoiler: Incomplete Travel Visa (click to show/hide)

(I have a feeling that no one is going to believe the visa anymore. :P)

Joshua said, "Lie."

Short and succulent.

"We're, or rather I'm, forging it anyways. It won't matter much. Here, let me write it in for you-" Joshua snatched the pen out of Luke's hand and wrote Periwinkle, Periwinkle Island in a hand that was exactly the same as Luke's writing. He returned it to Luke.

"Also, if you need them, I can hire an artificer, an enchanter and a brewer for you people. Of course, it would cost money..."

Luke looked over the papers in amusement. His forgery was excellent. He looked back up just as Joshua finished talking. "We'll hire people later. We'll be returning to port after we clear the Necromancer's Tower. I can't imagine needing one before that."
