Luke walked into the room. "We'll be sailing for the necromancer's tower before tomorrow afternoon. I'm not expecting for you or any of the ship's crew to help in a battle, only that you can get us where we're going. Are you interested in the job?"

((Hehe, complete subtlenessfail for me :3))

@Fool

The man eyed Luke.
"So... Who's the captain? Is it by any chance a guy with a goatee? I'm not going near him, no siree. Not even if you hold a disintigration to my head."

Luke was surprised that the man with the goatee was his biggest concern, I think Tabbytha was right about that guy. "No, I decided not to even talk to the guy. He looked like a corsair to me, someone who would stab you rob you blind anyways. I went with Joshua, who's a little inexperienced, but less likely to do something reckless on a whim. I suggested that he pick someone to advise him for a while. Is that alright with you?"

@Fool
"Joshua? The white-haired kid?"
The to-be navigator scratched his head.
"Eh, he won't need much advice. He's a pure genius... despite being naïve and young. Oh, well, one cannot have everything."
Scion patted his pants. "Anyways, be glad to go with you. When, where and how much?"

Toman translated the note for Tali and the bard. "We can talk about it later, though. I don't like the feeling this place is giving off. Come on." He moved to leave the boat.

"I'll drop by here in the morning after I buy the ship. How does 130g sound?" Luke didn't want to insult him, he had no idea how much a navigator should be paid, so a little above a ship hand's pay should be a good place to start.

@SerCon

The ship started breaking apart, and water rushed in.
The unnamed bard grabbed both and cast "Dimension Door".

The three were teleported directly into the rowboat. A small vortex appeared on the surface as water was sucked in.

@Fool

"Meh... I'll take 80 gold, and charge a single gold piece per destination. I'm willing to just get out of 'ere. "
Scion got up and started packing his many random items strewn around.

Tali laughed.

"Well, that was close. Thanks for the assist, Bard. Not that I wouldn't have made it out me'self.

Guess I owe you a drink now. or four. of eight.

...What do you make of the note anyway-Toman?

I mean, that's three Ticaharams now."

Toman thought about it. "Best guess? This Anarose is - or was, who knows how long ago that note was written - trying to kill a man named Arnim. We should track down whatever information we can on him." He took up the oars and started rowing back to town, since he knew Tali enough to know she wasn't going to do it and it wouldn't be chivalrous besides. Also he was stronger than the bard and could get them back to town faster.

(Er, right. ^^^; Toman'll search for info on Arnim and Anarose - preferably in the more upscale parts of town - while Rae is still tending to Sarah.)

"I'll be back in the morning once the ship is bought." Luke headed for the door, turning his head only as he reached the door. He uttered a reply to the man's offer with a slight smile. "While I appreciate your suggested pay, I'll pay 100 gold with a gold at each destination." Luke walked out the door with Tabbytha close behind. They were done for the day. They got a choice of two ships from the continent of Noire, a crew, a madly brilliant captain, and a navigator. Hopefully the others would be back at the bar so that a ship could be picked and bought. If not he could sit down for a few glasses of ale while he waited.

Upper : Toman gets into a private library, and learns that Arnim was the man who owned the Ichavon Isles. His name was, unsurprisingly, Ichavon Arnim. Also, the three-man party that founded the Isles' then independent was comprised of a high-level priest Kellsnity, Ichavon himself, whose class remains a mystery to this day, and one Ticharam, a high-level wizard.

Lower : Tali finds out that although there are no Ticharams living here, there is a family with the last name Lowerticharam/Loreticharam/Lureticharam (all the sources she asked were different) that lived in poverty on the outskirts of Nio on a hill, next to a cemetery.

((Also, what ship are you going to buy?))

Toman headed back to the bar and explained everything he had learned to everyone there (most likely Alith, Rudra, Rae, and Ria, and maybe Luke and Tali if they've gotten back yet).

(As for ship, I vote the cheapest one since I imagine Rae is about to eat most of the bill... unless the rest of y'all got cash you ain't using. >.>)
