Dwarf Fortress IRL
« on: February 10, 2012, 02:09:42 pm »

My friend and I were talking about newer Mercedes diesel engines, and part of their efficiency is urea injection. Don't really know what that means, but it got us to talking about ways to inject urea, and he suggested storing a cat in the glove box, and my first thought was that will totally work, cats won't starve to death in a cage!

DF has sent a party of seven to my brain.

Clearly, this represents six side-by-side wheelbarrows, as indicated by the right half of the icon.  The left half indicates they are carrying babies with hats in these wheelbarrows.

Presumably, they are lining up to dump them into the baby furnaces.

When I was mad I toppled a chair so the police came in and broke my legs.

But I'm still ecstatic because it was a nice looking chair.

No! It has an engraving of giant roaches! I absolutely detest giant roaches!

Moreover, it is of the highest quaity, and is hung on the animal caretaker's house! I am completely traumatized by this pretentious display!

I sometimes go through the day thinking "Urist McNyx cancels X: Interrupted by Y"

I find myself repathing constantly as my surroundings change, but that's less df-specific and more of a gamer quirk in general, I think.

Upon seeing waterfalls/rivers/volcanos/large masses of people, I wonder why the world doesn't lag.

it lags a little bit every time a volcano goes off, but thats only if you're close enough to the volcano,  You've never noticed this?  Only time I've seen lag IRL.
