Teleportation for sure.
Put a space suit on and teleport to the moon.
After that I would telport explore the galaxy (always making sure to take adaquate precautions to make sure that I wouldn't die accidentally).

Fighting someone? Teleport to them, touch them, teleport us both to the moon/space/middle of ocean/10000 feet above the earth's surface, then teleport away on my own.

Regarding my Zodiac sign (Aquarius (Primary; Fixed-Air sign), Ox/Rat (Whichever one is most accurate with '85)), I excel at water, wind, and cold spells, and can also increase yield in looting by chance, and I can also allow myself added strength abilities.

My learned spells would involve time/space magic, which I at least dabble in which allows me to manipulate trajectories and velocities as well as encapsulate things within my awareness in pocket-dimensions where certain laws follow differently (time dialation fields and such). Be wary of any portal-based dick moves; especially if I have posession of a laser cannon or something; provided I get my trajectories correct (sorta reminds me of something I would do with an airship design I made that used such a cannon, and a space/time manipulator).

In a similar vein to Fullmetal Alchemist, I would alternatively develop magic techniques by learning the mathematics behind them (especially in order to operate time/space magicks to their maximum potential). Theoretically, if magick is a form of spiritual power, then it's mathematical equivalent can bypass the spiritual boundaries, and not be able to be absorbed at a spiritual level like most other magicks (dark/light being prime examples). Sure, someone throwing a ball of fire from their spirit won't burn you if you're apt to it or have a protection rune, but what if I were to set something on fire, and then throw it at you? Try to absorb that now. (Example: Fire magic in Final Fantasy games vs. my example, or hitting them with a fire arrow or something)

I would imagine, for example, using a bunch of compressed air in a column to carry a mound of sand, vibrate the sand at extreme speeds to heat the sand into a molten glass, and then utilize a bit more compressed air pockets (primarily as a series of hot/cold spaces to toss it. It would be a bit of math to go through, but at least you won't have to devote your soul to anything (*cough*devil*cough*) to get the job done, in some cases. Of course, there's always a simple workaround with, I dunno, guns, sniper rifles, shotguns, and maybe casting haste on them bullets to give them even greater distance/muzzle velocity. You know what? Screw it, I'd prefer augmenting technology with magic. Imagine, if you will, a shotgun that fires shells with the pellets within, each, turning into icicles... on fire, and with electricity flowing inside the ice.

Technomancy. The ability to fix any technological issue in an instant would be amazingly useful.

Wind magic :)  I'd be able to fly and kill people by surrounding them in a vacuum!

Anyone read the Belgariad?

I want Belgarath's powers in general. Very, very difficult to explain the lore of their magics, though. It's pretty ridiculous. And the most scientific! No summoning up a giant thunderstorm without completely altering worldwide weather patterns by miraculously generating that heat and energy in the air.

The Wild Talents setting 'Progenitor' has a character who is ultra-smart and clairvoyant within one lightyear.  His best power, though, is that he can subconsciously use those powers to answer any question that would be answerable.

The answers are always phrased in exactly 100 words.

(And yes, one of his first uses of this power is to ask himself what the best question to ask is.)

Wait... how does this even work, game-mechanic wise? I'm piqued. Especially as to the outcome of the first question.

More Wild Talents stuff, if you read my above post, but this time relevant.   This is a repost from about a year ago on RPG.net, with the goal of the thread to use Wild Talents to make the richest character in under 200 points.

[Rant]
Idiotmancy. All idiots forced to follow your every command, all the time! Includes ability to telepathically communicate with and be understood by idiots because otherwise it wouldn't work. Rig elections/juries, massive public works, change the very face of the globe, and use the catch phrase "I'm surrounded by idiots!" If you ever have enough stupid ideas, then you could control yourself!

Necromancy requires reanimating rituals, smells terrible, is socially unacceptable and can be contagious/endanger one's own immortal soul. Not to mention you need deed bodies as raw materials. Yes, DEED bodies, like donated to science or something cause how else are you gonna get them?

The undead last forever, but there's an idiot born every minute! Both schools provide an inexhaustible supply of minions.
[Rant/]

I ... I mean... "enchantment," yes ... enchantment. And um.... there's a will saving throw required...?

Necromancy. Dead bodies are just taking up space. Wouldn't it be better all round if the dead were servants for the living?

Pfft, you guys think waaay too small: Mind control magic. Subtly you could easily bring all the worlds rulers to their knees. I'd let the world mostly carry on as normal, but have all the worlds powers secretly controlled by me. Keep it so nobody knows this, maybe make myself a mildly rich man who wants for nothing (extravagance isn't to my taste anyway). A nobody by many respects. But I'd use my powers to make sure things never went too far to shit, keeping everyone in a state of conflict without letting the conflict reach the point it risks out very species (no chance of nuclear war, for example).

Secretly, you shall have a lord, both powerful and magnificent. Terrible as the dawn, treacherous as the sea, all shall love me and despair! ^^

While maybe not the one I would specifically choose for myself, when thinking about maybe making a story or a game I've been tossing around the idea of a Narcomancer (i.e. sleep magic).

You can put people to sleep, you can kill them with nightmares, you can heal people with a deeply restful sleep ... maybe even imbue someone with energy like they've just had a full night's sleep.  Summoning nightmares ... cause someone to go insane because they can't fall asleep ever again ...

I think it would be pretty fun.
