Random events rolled. Exactly nothing happened.
China and Scotland now have a trade agreement, which has almost no impact on the game, except that trading cutting edge rockets is no longer frowned upon.

Oops- was in a hurry when I posted that.  Also, oh well- I'll just save up for next turn.

Fixed.

You're strapping a horse to a rocket and launching it, whitout any protection.

There's almost no way that could have a positive outcome.

Also, the good outcome is was talking about is the thing flying out of control and crashing into the mob of animal right activists.

Anyway, for real this time. You can do it, thereby proving that things cannot survive in space whitout shielding. It will earn you a tiny bit of respect and will anger a lot of people.

Edit: Some more info for if you wanted to go somewhere else then LEO
             Thrusts requirements  Example
LEO:      100%                         1000
MEO      125%                          1250
GEO      150%                          1500
Away    200%                          2000

Stabilizing an object in an orbit requires an extra 10% thrust.

Vladiminr took a seat in the beautifule decorated office. He started to read the report infront of him For the glory of the Russian Union Blablabla, way behind other countries, blablabla, make progress or else, blablabla. He knew the importance of this job, but did´nt have time for small matters like this. He needed the project to start working. He had gained a lot of founds and he promised he whould´t fail the union. We needed to start the reasarch, but also, he thought, start to gather information from his neighbours.

What to do:

Research:

Stable Thrusters- focus on efficiency and  reduce risk of explotion. If necessary make it slighly bigger.

Things you are designing:
None at the moment.

Building things(If you want to)
Build lab
Entertainemnt facility.

Other things

(I know the text is a bit meh, but I needed to hurry. I will be less sloppy next time)

Yay for making thing go kablooie.  So... how did the rockets survive the landing, anyway?

Urist was in a foul mood.  He probably would be locked in his office with a bottle of cheap whisky if the too-late rocket launch had blown up on the pad.  Instead, he roamed the halls berating his underlings.

He authorized another expansion to the labs, after realizing the added cost of a second expansion prohibited it being done the prior year.  That and the restarted module project were his main expenses.   The new scientist was tasked to improving their fuel as soon as he stepped in the door.

With no additional components, there wasn't much for him to do on the design table, so he put together a larger version of the Squat.  It needed a clever name as well.

Research:
Improve our rocket fuel to increase our thrust.

Life Support Module:  A basic life support module that could accommodate a being up to 50 kg.  Try not to blow it up this time, mmmk?

Designs:
[Personal Design]
The Spear Mk I
Height: 10m
Weight: 1850 kg
Available Payload: 150kg
Thrust: 1000 kg to Leo

Components:
Single stage hull (10 meter): 75*10-> 750kg
Small thruster (1 meter): 100kg, 2000kg To LEO
Small fuel tanks x8 (8 meter): 1000kg
[1 meter worth of future space]

Building:
Expand the labs again, to allow more research.  For real this time.

Other:
Flog those responsible for the explosion in the lab. None.

Total expenses:
12000 (1k research x2, 10k construction)

Tips and tricks:

-Launching a design makes it better.( So launch as much as possible)
-Payloads are interchangeable
-Your payload will at least weight 200, so Toaster you can design a large rocket now. Launch it a few times so it becomes better. Then put your payload on it.
- SPYing excists and is possible.
