Vynam had no objections. "Let's go scout the area then... see if we can find a good place to set an ambush."

Jos silently nodded in agreement. It was standard military protocol for situations like these to form a defensive perimeter. But flamers made that unattainable. The best way to deal with flamers is to catch them out rather than give them a nice bunched up target.
''We should keep ourselves spread out in our formation, of about 10 metres to avoid the flamers having too much to shoot at, but keep visual with the other to provide assistance.'' Jos added in. ''A good piece of terrain would be somewhere with mounds, or dirt rising up, anything that flamers can't wrap themselves around to allow us the option of withdrawel.'' He finished. He hadn't got his answer to the range of these flamethrowers, which meant he couldn't devise a plan or strategy to keep x distance away. That was that, he guessed.

April certainly thought it was a good idea. She did have something to add though. "Wouldn't that make them suspicious if a single person was just there attacking?"

Cat-Eye nodded and pointed out a small, but important detail about what exactly the group should be looking for: "If I'm not mistaken, most flamethrowers are far too heavy to simply swim with them on your back. To bring one of these into their every raid, the bandits need a reliable mode of water transportation - definitely not some raft you can build and disassemble on the spot. Because of it, I suggest that when trying to find their landing zone we look for bridges or, failing that, boats hidden somewhere on the opposite coast."

He nodded as Cat-Eye gave his suggestion. ''True, but sabotage, whilst giving us the advantage of not having to deal with the flamethrowers, alerts them to our presence. This makes them do one of two things: They're either more prepared, flamethrowers or not, defeating the purpose of our ambush. Or, they don't attack at all, trying to either find a new source, or waiting until they can find a better crossing. Neither is good for us, as attacking their camp is not a smart idea whilst they're at full strength.'' Jos then thought of a solution to both problems.. ''If we have 3 of our ranged specialists acting as bait, that'll make them think it's a small mercenary force underestimating their opponants, whilst also giving us just enough firepower and accuracy to target their flamethrowers. Once we have enough down, we give the signal, and the rest rush into combat, springing the trap.'' He concluded his plan. ''I would join Aurin using my firefight experience.'' He scanned for any objections and for one more volunteer.

Vynam nodded. "I'll join the distraction team."

Jos considered for a second, noting that there were 4 of them that shoot things. ''I think it's best you're also with us... April, was it? That weapon of yours would definately ensure we couldn't be ignored.'' He figured. ''So, that's me, April, Aurin and... Vyman... Vynam! That would mean we would have 3 on either side for the ambush itself.''

Aurin smiled at the unfolding events of this plan, surely it would work now. "So I guess our (the distraction) job is to first get the attention of the most dangerous enemies in melee, specifically those flamethrowers. Both teams have a member knowledgeable in the medical fields so injuries are on the lower part of our list of worries." She looked at the rest, slightly narrowing her eyes in contemplation, "The only problem may be, if they have anything up their sleeves, like a back-up force. I think we can worry about that later."

She stooped down with bended knees and proceeded to draw a rudimentary list on the ground using her hands.

She stood up after finishing off the last name. "Again, both teams have a member knowledgeable in world magic. Maybe causing slight tremors in the Earth on the trail of the enemy would give them unstable footing, easily opening them to attack. Other than that, all of our mages are on the Ambushing side.

"Is everyone alright with the plan?"
she turned towards April. "You had something to say?"

"That's a good plan. Count me in." Cat-Eye scratched his chin as another idea sprung in his mind. "By the way, I'm pretty sure I can make the vines on the ground grow thorns so as to prevent our enemy from running or dropping into cover. If no one's opposed, I'll give it a try as soon as we've found their landing zone."

"Sounds good. I'll follow that." Leon stretched, looking vaguely out at their surroundings.

Vynam adjusted his hat. "If you think you can pull it off, do it. At the very least the ones with flamethrowers might get distracted trying to burn it away."

Jos nodded. Despite having known each other for a ridiculously short time, they had formed a plan utilising atleast some of their strengths, based on what they were using alone. Jos was never sure how to use mages, and he admitted to himself his plan did not really consider their possible strengths. This plan would work, but he made a mental note to try and see the mages abilities to form possible strategies in the future. It boded well, though, that they had all worked together, regardless of backround and race. He figured the danger of the flamethrowers may have had an effect on that, but still.

Jos thumbed up, stating he was ready to move out when everyone else was.
