You ask the priest and your escorts if they have know of runes that could make people do things. The priest does not like having a question answered with a question, but understands what you mean. He says that he has heard of some. It is said that to the far-far-west there is a stone tablet and that anyone that looks upon it is forced to go on a pilgrimage for the gods, and some that finish the pilgrimage are gifted with...something. He then adds that that seems like an entirely different situation though. You tell him that you do not even remember what was written on the letter, at which the priest replies, that maybe you simply cant read it.

You then posit that maybe the letter was the source of what the old man felt. The fire in the oven does indeed burn an unnerving colour, so you return to the body.
