ask to borrow the sword for your own protection. If he is caring a weapon, it must be serious.

He doesn't want it to get scuffed up. He's selling it, remember?
EDIT: Though perhaps we should try to score it off him anyway, for the time being. Less questions, you see.
On the subject of weapon, we should go for either the plain knife, or the neat looking one. Whichever does more 'damage'.
Or is easier to wield. Isn't the plain one hide+blade?
And if anyone asks. We found it wedged under a floorboard in Olof's place.

I do not think that we need to give folk the idea that there is treasure underneath Olof's place...

Attack bell. I dont think he would mind if we are trying to DEFEND THE BLOODY TOWN!!!
Plus, he knows us. i doubt he will want us to go without a way to defend ourself, if something were to happen. Plus plus, it wouldnt hurt to ask.

edit: didn't see your edit there. But, I dont think we should reveal the weapons we have on hand. keep them hidden unless we have true need for them.

Go with him to the town hall to see what is going on.

Avoid fighting unless the town is threatened, but if the attack is large enough to threaten the town then I think it's time to go balls-out and bring the skeletons out to fight.

Probably one of these will happen:

1. The town will be saved and we'll be hailed as a hero.
2. The town will be destroyed anyway, along with two skeleton minions, and we will run away.
3. The town will be saved but we will be exiled.

Mayard is considered rather useless by the town. Maybe this is his time to shine.

This. Give necromancers a good name.

As it turns out, the pen was in fact a poor choice for melee combat in comparison to the sword.
So I just started playing this game and I accidentally nuked the moon.

I agree with the above too.  A Good necromancer? never hear of one.

The skeletons are on the edge of town, getting to them could be difficult, and dangerous.
Being hailed as a hero doesn't mean that there won't be a few bad-apples sending death-threats and assassination attempts...
Losing skeletons is a bad thing.
Being exiled may involve not getting a chance to recover our stuff.
Shelby doesn't seem to be any better than a grouge in single combat.

What will our walking-the-earth name be? Mortanius?
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
I had a neat plan for us to animate our cloak, but I remembered that the skeletal structure has to be 'complete'.
Anyway, the one problem to getting the skeletons to help out in the combat, is that our plan for helping Olof requires us to stay not-suspicious until we get him a body. And if everyone knows we're a necromancer, there are going to be people who will watch us day in and day out, even if we are hailed as a hero.

We could probably animate a ray of some sort, one large enough for a full cloak would be deep-sea sort of stuff, maybe we could just thread together a whole lot of lizard skeletons and put them inside a cloak...

I'm gonna have to vote for a quick exploration/loot of the shop while Gain is out. You know, nothing big. But who knows what we might find. Ya dig?

Searching all the containers leads to looting.
Looting leads to killing random monsters.
Killing random monsters leads to asking every single person you meet if they have a side-quest.
Asking every single person you meet if they have a side-quest leads to complete amorality.
Complete amorality leads to the dark-side.
The dark-side leads to becoming the protagonist of a computer R.P.G.!

No update for now (maybe tommorow if you are lucky) but I made some wallpapery things for myself a while ago and I thought i'd share them rather then keep them to myself.
Spoiler: Woa Colours (click to show/hide)
I've got them all centered and cycling on my desktop right now.

And thanks for the support. It's good to know people like the adventure.
