Pick up rock.
Hide above cave entrance.
Olof goes into cave and comes out again.
Grouges follow Olof out of cave.
Shelby hits grouges with shovel.
Mayard throws rock at big grouge.
Rock lands on Shelby by mistake.
Mayard cries and is sad.
Grouges comfort Mayard who is sad.
Shelby jumps out from behind rock and kills grouges.
Grouges get back up.
Everyone dances and is happy!

Turn 29: Pause for suspense

Panel 1:

You try to store some more spiritual energy in your clothes. With the exception of your poncho nothing retains the energy and you think some of it might have been destroyed when it was rejected by your clothing.

Panel 2:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
You then try and store some spiritual energy in Shelby. She appears to be getting stronger! You have exausted all the energy in the dead grouge.

You resolve to go inside the cave, spirit knife® in hand, to confront the grouges.

Panel 3:

Your group goes into the cave and reaches the room containing the grouges.

Have Olof go to the opposite end of the fire, across from the grouges.  The beasts will either cower, or go towards him.  If they go towards him, they will go to the sides of the fire right?  Only possible way.  Once one grouge goes across the fire ( the side with the swords ) have Shelby bull rush tackle hug the grouge, to try and knock it into the fire.  If it doesn't catch fire, it'll be disoriented at least, giving you a bigger advantage.  If it does catch fire, YAY!

Either way, once Shelby does his ( or was it her ) thing, have Mayard rush in, and stabbity stab away.  Olof can try to distract the grouge, or something.  This plan hinges on Shelby and Mayard.

Olof flies in there all crazy-like, waving his ethereal arms around and hollering something fierce, distracting the Grouges, and possibly intimidating them. Whilst he is doing this, Mayard runs in and grabs the conspicuous stick soaking in oil?, lights it in the fire, and dashes back to the tunnel. Olof exits post haste and the Grouges should follow him. Shelby brains one with her shovel, and Mayard sets about stabbing the other one with his spirit knife® and flaming brand, dual-wielding Viking-style.

Turn 30: Gruesome Violence

You go with the first plan that comes into your head:

You tell Olof to go around and distract them.

Panel 2:

The grouges notice Olof and communicate to eachother using what you asume is their language. Some of the words sound vaguely familiar but you don't have an idea of what they are saying.

Panel 3:

They move around the fire and pick up weapons while not taking their eyes of Olof.

Panel 4:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

You and Shelby get ready to pounce.

Panel 5:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

You and Shelby pounce on the larger grouge as it comes into view.

Panel 6:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

The large grouge is knocked down. It misses the fire but it still loses it's weapon.

Panel 7:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

You and Shelby attack the grouge with your weapons. You manage to stab it in the neck before it can do any damage to you or shelby.

Panel 8:

You and Shelby proceed to help Olof with the other grouge.

Panel 9:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

The other grouge drops it's weapon and puts it's hands in the air. It is terrified and letting out soft screams.

Victory! The grouges have been defeated!

Now what?

look and note down everything that is in the cave so we can loot it  drain the dead gorges life force in to shelby or a gem we find

Ask the grouge if it can speak your tongue. If it can, first ask if you can call it Gurdy Grouge. Then, try to explain (lie if necessary) how important killing his friends was, for the sake of many people.

If it doesn't, ask Olof if there are some spells to communicate cross-language. If there are, repeat above. If not, then just roll with whatever Olof does, or ask Shelby's opinion.
