The hatch is in the bottom right hand corner where the planks switch direction...

Or that could be old repair work. We'll find out. I already mentioned it though..

Turn 11: Those are no ordinary floorboards...

Panel 1:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Shelby is starting to creep you out with his constant staring so you tell him to stop looking at you. He goes and stands in the corner while you check out these suspicious floorboards...

Panel 2:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Ah ha! They come right off, they aren't actually seperate floorboards either, they look like some sort of hatch that has been made to look like floorboards. You never would have known if they weren't facing the wrong direction.

You ask Shelby to come over here since you'd like to have a skeleton to protect you if anything jumps out.

There appears to be a ladder in the hole, guess there is only one way to find out what is down there. By getting Shelby to go down of course.

Mayard: "Is it safe?"
Shelby: "Yes master, it is safe."

You proceed down the ladder even though it sounds even more unsafe then you thought it initialy was thanks to Shelby's skeletal voice.

Panel 3:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

It's about the same size as the actual house down here.

Turn 12: I never realised coming up with these would be such a chore.

Panel 1:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
It's a shame you don't have any light down here. Without any it could be a tad hard to explore. Well, you can make out some basic shapes so you'll try to do you best.

You take a few steps-

Panel 2:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

WOAH. Okay, where did that light come from? A bunch of magic symbols are on the walls and are lighting up the room, that's pretty helpful. Time to take a look around.

There are two bottles on the shelf, one contains red liquid and the other contains purple liquid. There is also a silver coin, a small brush and a rag there as well.

There is also a stone block-looking thing in the corner. It sounds sort of hollow and has a small depression on top. There are some scrolls on top of it, lets take a look at them.

Scroll:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

You find that they are all labeled "Scroll of fireball" and they all look the same.

There is also a shovel in the corner. Olof probabley put it there so you could use it to dig him up.

Wasn't it getting late? We shouldn't wander out into the woods in the dead of night. Instead we should Study the magical symbols on the scrolls and the wall to ensure we understand them. also Examine the objects on the shelf more closely, and sniff the contents of each bottle.

This is the wiser choice.
I also think we should memorize the symbols on the walls too. May need to light up the place, in the future.

The Pilot and their cargo handlers paused when they saw that the entire camp is covered in eldritch runes coated in blood. And rotting monkey corpses everywhere..

They decide that they didn't get paid enough for this..

I actually think that night is a good time to go about digging up a body; we can't very well do it in the day, can we?
