Okay, guys, seriously, stop with the ponies. I like discussions as much as everyone else here, but we don't want Toady to come in and time-out everyone who was involved in the derail. That's why I put my Off-Topic stuff in spoiler tags in the last post. Not everyone wants to see it. I absolutely agree with G-Flex in that it's rather annoying to see MLP-related stuff constantly derailing threads. Which is exactly what is happening right now, so stop it, all of you!

Honestly, the "ask-urist" idea is rather funny, but who would be willing to do something like that? I wouldn't. It takes a lot of time and imagination to run a tumblr like that. So, again, I don't think we need a tumblr.

Also, I don't really think a tumblr should be a community-oriented thing, since tumblr doesn't facilitate group discussion very well. It's more like, someone will run it and people will follow it if there's enough interest, but the community as a whole doesn't really need to be involved. Maybe in mod recruitment, but we'd need like 3 max.

This is the last page of the last pony thread (maybe not if you have less posts per page than me). This is not acceptable in any capacity of the word, and as far as I'm concerned a ban on ponies here is perfectly justified. This is coming from a guy who likes ponies enough to run a pony tumblr. And if people have a bad impression of bronies in this community, this is why.

I don't want to turn this into an argument about whether that was acceptable, because Toady has already answered that, but I feel like the attitudes about bronies here are justified because of what they've done before.
