- The town becomes self governing.  Marrham is the new lord and the town trains its own militia for its own uses.  A small tithe of resources is provided in your honour. [0 BC]

- You study the idol for whatever purpose before destroying or sealing it. [-1 BC]

- You rededicate the temple to the gods, but start a cult in your name amongst those who wish to worship you.  [-1 BC]

- Accept an offer of service in exchange for redemption from Sir Braithe.  [-1 BC] (even if he's likely to refuse)

- You rededicate the resources from your mines to improving and rebuilding Ferrun.  [+1 BC]
- Blessings, attending services to the gods...  [+? BC.]

oh, and reclaim Mistwalker.

- The town becomes self governing.  Marrham is the new lord and the town trains its own militia for its own uses.  A small tithe of resources is provided in your honour. [0 BC]

- Make Marrham a luxpanap [+? BC]

- Publicly execute Sir Braithe and the two necromancers.  [+1 BC] (and make it showy- golden fire and all that lot) We need the power boost, and these guy's are more trouble than they're worth.

- You study the idol for whatever purpose before destroying or sealing it. [-1 BC] We need to deal with this thing.

- Recruit the mercenaries. [?? BC] We need some more manpower.

- You rededicate the temple to the gods, being humble enough not to need worship.  [+1 BC]

- You encourage the town to send troops and resources to help fight Lord Thrane.  [-2 BC]

- You encourage the town to take a large part in the coming war. For now they should work on getting back on their feet, but they should hustle so they can prepare for the fight ahead. [-? BC]

- Blessings, attending services to the gods, lot's of other good acts...  [+? BC.]

Also, do we gain power from good, the way that the demon gains power from evil?

With 3 BC at the start.

Quote from: Possibly a tally?

- The town comes under your protection and government.  You appoint Marrham as a steward and the town provides men and resources for your goals.  [-3 BC] One vote
- The town becomes self governing.  Marrham is the new lord and the town trains its own militia for its own uses.  A small tithe of resources is provided in your honour. [0 BC] Three votes
* The town becomes self governing.  Marrham is the new lord and the town trains its own militia for its own uses.  A moderate tithe of resources and manpower is provided in your honour. [-1? BC] Two votes
* Make Marrham a luxpanap [+? BC]

- You seal away the idol in a secure location of your own devising, where it might still soak a small amount of evil away but will at least not be usable. [0 BC] One vote
- You study the idol for whatever purpose before destroying or sealing it. [-1 BC] {Unanimous decision} Five votes

- You rededicate the temple to yourself, acquiring significant power and establishing a cult in your name.  [-3 BC] Two votes
- You rededicate the temple to the gods, but start a cult in your name amongst those who wish to worship you.  [-1 BC] Two votes
- You rededicate the temple to the gods, being humble enough not to need worship.  [+1 BC] Two votes

- Publicly execute Sir Braithe.  [+1 BC] {Unanimous decision} Four votes
- Accept an offer of service in exchange for redemption from Sir Braithe.  [-1 BC] Two votes

- You rededicate the resources from your mines to improving and rebuilding Ferrun.  [+1 BC] Four votes {Unanimous decision}
Quote from: You try to help the town in other ways.  +? BC.  Be creative.
Tiruin- 'We strengthen it's heirarchy and it's independent will. Focusing on their niche (Agriculture or Trade?)' [+? BC] One vote

- You encourage the town to send troops and resources to help fight Lord Thrane.  [-2 BC] One vote
Quote from: - You make other demands of the town.  -? BC.  Whatever you want to try.
Tiruin: Making use of the captured and mercenaries, proclaim the need for soldiers that are willing to accompany you to battle. Request their smiths to provide for your retinue and army with whatever they can afford. Remind them, without your help, they wouldn't have been freed this easily. They lost little in the battle compared to your own. [+? BC] One vote

NUKE9.13: You will remain in Ferrun and help to rebuild; all your (available) resources will be spent on rebuilding/reinforcing for now. [+1? BC] Two votes {Lead decision}

Angle:  You encourage the town to take a large part in the coming war. For now they should work on getting back on their feet, but they should hustle so they can prepare for the fight ahead. [-? BC] One vote

Other

* Also, offer your other prisoners a choice: Life of servitude, or public execution, Braithe style.
* We bless some of the farms around Ferrun [+ ? BC]
* Blessings, attending services to the gods...  [+? BC.] Two votes
* Recruit the mercenaries. [?? BC] We need some more manpower.

So if we tally now (Tie in the temple, disregarding currently):

(+ 3 BC)

Total BC (+/-): +4 BC if no suggestions are taken into consideration.

And 2 votes on reclaiming Mistwalker from Marrham.

I vote we turn the temple into a temple for the gods only. We've done it before, we can give credit to the gods again. Let's try not to be a megalomaniacal angel.

Yeah, starting a cult is just a little troubling. Although I have to wonder, what the hell is up with these gods? Do they seriously not care about these people? They seem only concerned with their worship.

Look, people.

The gods aren't what these people need right now. Right now, they need someone to protect them.

Ends justify the means. We need power with which to fight evil. If we rededicate the temple to the gods, these people will just get conquered by some new necromancer- and one prepared to face us. It would, in fact, be an act of evil not to gain as much power as possible from these people.

...No.
That's a load of bull. Getting them to worship us would be an evil act. We'll get the power elsewhere, through legitimate means.

Nope. Not evil.

Even if we dont convert the entire temple, we need a cult at the very least.

Bottom line, let us not make a cult. Not evil, per se, but for the Greater Good in letting mortals choose. If they will make a cult, we won't force them. The choice wants us to form a cult, we won't do that. (Well, from the guy who did vote for humility to not worship).

The Gods, thought we cannot (knowledgeably) contact them, nor can we feel their presence, watch over us. No angering them, there is enough closed-mindedness in the world.

And we have a lot of BC, just to note  :)

If we can prove to them that we aren't like many of the current powers in the world, they will recognize Lvantha and then worship her, out of free will.

hmm, now that I think about it, this cult thing might be of use after all. I would advise to return the temple to the gods, but start a cult - Not to worship us, but to provide aid to lands shrouded in evil. Our cult will be defined in the following ways -

Candle in the Dark

 - Does not worship us.

 - Organized in a non-hierarchical fashion; No member has any greater status than that granted by the respect of their peers.

 - Prime commandment is to be good; even in the most desperate situations - so as to be a metaphorical "candle in the dark".

 - Heavy emphasis on self-improvement; Followers engage in meditation, learning, and physical discipline in order to be the best they can spiritually, mentally, and physically. Especially important are teachings on how to recognize and resist evil.

 - Seeks primarily to keep hope alive in lands shrouded in evil, and to combat that evil where it can.

 - Members devote their lives to the cause of good, but decide for themselves what that means.

Theres more, but I'm not sure exactly how to say it. For now, this is what I've come up with. if anything seems unclear, go ahead and ask.

Agree with this if there would be a cult in our name then.

Though is everyone happy with the other choices (The ones where we have a unanimous decision and the other demands of the town)?

That is, Kantian philosophy, with good being more a concept than a deity?
Looks good.

Oh, and we should start off that cult (not really a cult - more of a religious order?) by teaching them a bunch of stuff - mostly techniques to resist evil, maybe some magic, stuff like that.
