(We did it, it was us.)
((Thats a brilliant idea and I wish I had thought of it! Heheheheh.  Bael now speaks in Teal.))
Well, we aren't a demon- Fil said so.
But on the basis that I made that assumption, I thought that Bael might make the same assumption. Certainly there are a lot of holes in the 'was in neighbourhood, got attacked by same demon' story "Bane" told Emma.
And it should be amusing to see this witch prepare some sort of demon-slaying spell, with Bael just lying there; prepared to accept his fate, whereupon the spell does nothing leaving everyone confused.
Bonus points if Emma returns just as she blasts him with a bolt of magic.

((*Sigh*, Might as well post, seeing as no one else is going to weigh in on it. Hm...perhaps it's the SHITTY WRITING or the HORRIBLE CLICHES or i'm just not waiting long enough...Hehehheeheh))

"...I know nothing. I suspect the worst."

"On the table. My things. I think you will find a necklace. I can't remember what it means. But-"

"I can't remember, honest. But if... if this is... my fault, somehow..."

The woman sidesteps to the table, keeping her eyes on Beal and her hand ready to make an arcane symbol, rummaging through his clothes a bit, she emerges with the Necklace. The half spiral electrum charm reflects the light now as perfectly as the day it was made. She hangs on to it gingerly by the fine iron chain.

The Woman whispers something under her breath and a blue light passes through the charm.

Nothing happens. At all.

She throws it back down into Beal's pile of stuff.

"This? This is just a charm for those who worship the Wandering God, The Fallen One, The Trickster. It doesn't have a trace of magic in it."

"But if you believe you are a demon, which I don't think you are, and wish to die. Then perhaps I can assist you. If you aren't then nothing will happen, besides a slight scar. Of course I’ll do it anyway even if you refuse. But I like to have permission."

Go for it.

((If you want more readers break your posts into smaller pieces with more choices. If people feel pigeon holed into choices they either won't suggest anything, or go with the first one that pops up. I had this problem when I tried to make a suggestion game. Look for the break where you take control of the character and stop there, because that's where you should stop and let someone suggest.))

((Hmm...I'll do that then. Since there is very few choices in the last post, i'll just post this then.))

Bael nods once bracing for the blow of magical energy. The woman snaps her fingers and a spear of light forms. She hurls it at him with a graceful movement.

A brighter light, only a bit wider then the point of the sparkly spear, stops it a fraction of a inch away from the skin above his heart.

"What the-"

The spear of light rebounds towards the women, forcing her off the ground and into a nearby wall. She slumps, unconscious, but the last look on her face was one of bewilderment and anger. To make matters worse, you hear Emaral talking to someone outside.

Now what?

((That better or worse?))

((Actually, seeing as we are still- more or less- bedridden, we still can't do much at this point.))

>Lie in bed quietly flipping the fuck out about the fact that: okay, apparently you are a demon.

((Ahem, you are a hero, 'member? They get out of bed all the time after running into buildings on fire with curse fire. The only problem Bael has is he is a bit wobbly and that breathing hurts a little.))

((Tip: Make sure the ending of that certain plot is open-ended, many need a certain push in the right direction-- whether it be another character, certain events or just normal occurrences. Um, don't listen to this, just my opinion.))

Rush over to the woman and check for vital signs, signal for help. Ponder on existence before you came here.

Ah, yes. Hero.

Right then. Heroically get up, grab your stuff, and leap out the window.

Bael pulls himself out of bed and steps towards the table. After a frantic minute or so, he's fully dressed in his clothes and jackets. He slips the, now, highly polished and razor sharp Blade Flail into his belt, then heroically checks the woman's vitals, she still alive and not bleeding to death. So, deciding to make quick his exit, he heroically jumps out the window.
After a few seconds he realizes he's in a garden.

Which Emaral and her brother are standing in and staring at him.
Crap.

Now what, Hero?

"Hey, I think your mother overdid it a little. You may want to make sure she's okay."
Smooth
"Anyway, gotta run, thanks for everything, bye!"

Run away.

"Hey, I think your mother overdid it a little. You may want to make sure she's okay."

Both of them look confused for a moment, then Emaral speaks,
"Hm? What do you mean by tha-"

"Anyway, gotta run, thanks for everything, bye!"

Bael turns and runs, making sure not to stomp an plants along the way.

"Hey my brother wanted to than- Gods damn it. How come every traveller acts that way when they meet our mother?"

After a few minutes of running- he thinks he's far enough away from the village-Bael collapses into the sand, he searches through his pockets and realizes he forgot his compass. Luckily he can tell his direction by the sun, for the time being.

To the North, through a patch of woods, lies the House that he ran from. He can tell that people are looking for him.
To the South is the sea.
To the East is the beginning of the large forest.
To the West is more sea.

Bael's boat lies to the west of the village. And to the Northwest of his current position.

((Probably should have told me a direction))

What do you do?

Okay.

So.

We are an immortal demon who terrorizes villages, but we can't remember doing it. ((Except we aren't really))

What we need to do is A) Find someone to lift our curse and B) Not hang around near any villages.

Running blindly into a large forest sounds pretty sensible in that light. Eastwards it is!

Though we only infer that we are the demon, it wasn't that much of a stated fact.

East, pondering on what just happened.
