whats so great about half life 2? I have it but never installed it!

It's a fun and not as simplistic as MW2 or whichever is the latest. As people said: great story, great gameplay, mediocre graphics for this time, but they are still nice and work on many computers. The level design is great, I never felt lazy replaying any of them. Except maybe Ravenholm, but that was for other reasons...

You can if you want to. Most of the characters you meet in HL2 act like they were in the first game, but really they were just anonymous scientists back in those days. Plus you'll get a slightly better idea of why some of the enemies exist. Other than that, it's basically a different storyline set around 20 years after the first game.

I always feel like a bloody hero after making my way through it. It reminds me of the crypt levels in Return to Castle Wolfenstein, they also freaked me out to no end.

I think it would be a hilarious idea to organize some Synergy servers and load up as many people onto them as the game allows. I played Synergy with a buddy just a couple years ago and god damn is it amazing- it gets exceptionally bizarre and awesome when you get cars, boats, and cranes. There is also a hilarious sound mod called natepack that warrants a playthrough on it's own. Combine the two for bonus points.

Natepack is well worth it. I'd better reload.

I would join people but I was a dirty __rat_ when the games came out and have really been waiting for an EP3 version of Orange Box for everything in one. This month's spare money goes to Toady. Have fun everyone. Play more hours for me.

I actually did play HL2 at the given time today, and I didn't even know this was going on. I just remembered I never got past the dune buggy stage because my old computer loved crashing out every 20 seconds on that map.
