Shame I was sleeping. I love the Half-Life series. Such an epic example of gaming polished to a mirror's edge. Would like to see someone release a HR pack for the game or for Valve to port it to their newer version of Source (the point of Source in the firstplace). Shame the closest we've seen to a HR is that Fakefactory bollocks.

I was asleep and apparently people only played for a couple hours. I attempted to play Star Trek Online instead, but the server crashed and didn't come back up in any kind of timely fashion. :V
Going to try logging into STO again now, it's been several hours. Don't see the point in playing HL2 now when it won't get anywhere near the peak numbers it had earlier, but I did join the group.

Side note: I've tried to shoot Dr. Mossman in the elevator ride while she's babbling before, but she doesn't even react, just keeps right on babbling. If nothing else, Gordon should be able to tell he's in a simulated world really easily.

The horror of realizing your in a simulation world but not being able to express that reality to anyone. Just accepting a fate that you cannot change, life becomes a one way road, why, it might even drive you mad.

So tried out Synergy, it's kinda cool.


AW MAN IT WAS AWESOME! We were fighting through ravenholm and there were zombies everywhere and it took forever but we finally made it to the tram thing only to get stopped by endless waves of fast zombies. We tried again and again and finally, I was dead, and my friend was down to like 10 health. The cart just made it and he was surrounded by zombies. He sprinted to the cart and fumbled with the switch for what felt like hours. He was down to five health. And then he got it. The cart drifted out of reach of the clawing hordes and he drifted safely down to the church, with five health and practically no ammo.

Just plain awesome.

 Started playing at around 3:00 in the afternoon, got to the end of the buggy section before calling it quits. Berhaps when I wake up more I'll check out the news about this thing.

I played for twelve hours with a few breaks and beat it again.  I'm still impressed with how good it is even today.  Hopefully our pleas from down below are heard by Gabe up on his throne in the clouds while he plays with his collection of knives.
