I checked the other topics with this problem but most seem to get interrupted during saving or by playing on updated versions but mine didn't. It saved and when to the starting screen all fine and then I closed it.

I did save the game during a goblin siege and my computer was pooping itself moving very slow. I guess that's the problem but since it doesn't seem like the other not loading problems that there might be some kinda way of fixing it?

Are you backing up the entire save folder?

Have you ctrl-alt-deleted and then played without restoring from a backup?

Good.

Nothing in particular that I know of, but a lot of problems posted on these forums have easy solutions on the wiki.

I didn't back up any save since I didn't know I needed too. Guess the fort is gone forever. =(
