DF Chat IRC Skype?

Is there any sort of DF player meeting anywhere?
I know it might sound oldschool, but I used IRC a lot. Maybe some people wanna idle and talk in an DF related IRC channel?

I'd go for it.

I think someone was talking recently about some kind of DF Ventrillo or Teamspeak channel. Not sure what happened with that though.

I think IRC would be a good starting point. Everything further like vent can be managed from there on.

How does on create an IRC channel?

There are already a few IRC channels (http://df.magmawiki.com/index.php/IRC), though i haven't been there for a while. Dunno how active they are. Couldn't hurt with another though, they're kinda well hidden. :P

I can totally do that.  I'm out of town this sunday, but can totally make it next week.  Do I have to kill an existing member, or just any random crackhead?
