Ok, I know this has happened with human towns, but I've never seen it with mountain halls before.

Was it the first world you generated in that session?

edit:  I got the same map without the problem when it was generated as the first world.

Which tileset is that? did you cut a piece out of the exported worldmap to get it to be so wonderfully big?

No, I don't think it was, actually. I'll try that.

Edit: That seems to have fixed it. Any idea what causes that? It's kinda funny.

It's my own tileset (an edited version of Klokjammer's, which was a cleaned version of the default square curses set), and yeah, that's exactly what I did.    :D

Yeah, any recipe for getting this to happen would be nice.  I've tried repeatedly with no luck.

Oh this world has a giant series of mountain lakes! Anyway I loaded a unmodded copy of df on my comp for these tests.

Test 1:1st world gen in this df session, seed 3281472032, nothing out of the ordinary.

Test 2:same session, same seed, nothing.

Test 3:same everything.

Test 4:nothing new.

Ok I'm going to try a diferent seed this time then come back to this one.

Test 5:same session, seed 0, nothing.

Test 6:same session, seed 3281472032, nothing.

Test 7:same session/seed,nothing.

I give up, it's not happening for some reason.

I'm not even getting the same world as the OP.  Explosive sites or no.  Generated it three times (including an abort at the year 530 or so before the first completion) and couldn't find the location pictured in this thread.

It's in the upper right corner of the map.

Huh, nobody else can get it to happen? I guess I'll try a few times...

Edit: Weird, it won't happen again for me, either...
