Next version of IC has booze and coffee. I even found out using NEI that you can OD on coffee. At first it speeds up movement and mining but then you start getting side effects, then damage, then instant death as you chug stacks of coffee. Haven't tried it with booze yet, I wonder what that buffs.
Also designing armoured vehicles using RP5. So far, I don't think anyone can make something that doesn't handle like a brick. Looking like a brick should be somewhat easier to fix.
Also, a word on making torpedoes: The obvious design for a contact detonator goes off when the battery for the frame motors dies. That is all. Learned this with a nuclear one. Not fun.
Is there some way to keep my current Tekkit and use the updated one side-by-side? I want to experiment with all the mods.
I wonder if they will unban parts of EE. If they think it is unbalanced, just ban the offending parts (collectors, relays, condensers, trans. tables, etc.)
Without them, everything else will seem that much more expensive (though as we saw with Q-suit, expensive doesn't mean uncommon if the difference is absolute enough).
The armour nerf might help diversify weapons too. Right now Nanosabre is the only viable melee attack, and muskets are the only (semi-?) viable ranged weapon.
I wish IC didn't roll all the functions into one mining laser. They are distinct and powerful enough to merit individual upgrades to the basic laser. Maybe mining mode and one alt-fire of choice, defaulting to horizontal?
