Well looking at some stuff on youtube about rougelikes and other Death is fun games i found this and thought Hmmmmm .... this looks familier. pardon my spelling problems.

Please tell me your thoughts on this and if i should worry

Why is everything that involves building and managing a small society a ripoff of DF :[

Because this community doesn't know what "Inspired by" means.
That and the line between ripoff and new game is so blurry sometimes it could be used to censor the whole of Japan.

Just... ugh. Don't call something a ripoff unless someone is metaphorically filing off serial numbers and giving it a new paintjob.

I like ripoffs. Though Towns isnt really a ripoff. It does take some of what I like about DF and make it more palatable. I can say that a few games have gone with the stockpile mechanic which i had never seen before in a game until DF. Maybe they ripped off the stockpile game mechanic from DF? other than that, i think its all pretty much been done before, at least all the parts of it.

I would PAY BIG for a proper ripoff of DF though, with lots of awesome fluid and energy and machinery, and a shiny UI. OH yes, a SHINY SHINY UI. I would pay big for that.

Also, don't confuse the few people who posts threads like these with the Bay12 community at large. The vast majority of us don't think this way.

For every "This game is a rip of DF!" thread, there's always many, many more people replying "No, it isn't. Quit overreacting."
