The levels sounded off; the talk-singing was way louder than I would have cared for. I suppose I like the "idea" of it, but not the execution. Kind of like a domestically abusive marriage between the Dead Milkmen and Joy Division. 4/10

And now for something completely different--"Fried Rice" samples Onra's "The Anthem." Onra's pretty cool, so he's worth checking out too.

I was flipping through the 'dwarf fortress music' thread the other day and this one stuck out.  7/10.  Not bad, but that female is still as ugly as sin to me...

I'm risking attack, but I think this is the best version of Future Breed Machine.  Try running or working out to it.

You usually find pretty decent music, and I tend to like Meshuggah anyways. This particular song is something I could see myself leisurely sipping mai thais to on the beach in Hainan. Enjoyable, but not their best (perhaps a bit too saturated). 7/10

Since I'm not catering to most of your tastes, I'm continuing on in my previous rap vein. I love this beat and this flow. The old swing/big band backbeat is sick, and I dig it. Hard. Totally stuck in my head.

Hmm, very intriguing. I'll admit that once I saw the band name, I was like, "I probably shouldn't bother posting a review and leave it to somebody who likes Bright Eyes." I tend to avoid them like the plague, in the sense that they're this hipster emo hellband. But, to be honest, I didn't hate that song at all. I'm still not sold, by any means, but I feel that they are less terrible than I had them categorized as, in my mind. Could have benefited from a buildup/drop or something, so I felt it was a little too empty, and as it wasn't shoegazey drone, it kind of felt like a musical purgatory. Although the singspeak reminded me of Lou Reed in The Velvet Underground's "Heroin." 5/10
