for some reason, stray wardogs no longer show up in the animal (adoption) screen.
it did show up before when there were stray puppies.. not exactly sure when it stopped showing.. all i know is that some hunting dog died (of old age... the 2nd one to have done so, along with a wardog and a cat) either before or after.. and that all the puppies were grown to dogs and trained. (game world generated + started under 101d, played under 104.19d +104.21a.. don't think it has anything to do with the change from 19d to 21a either.
i'm guessing the idea is that it's meant to be possible to assign dogs+puppies, but not wardogs/hunting dogs from that screen

the mule is a new pet.. and i think the animal came from the dwarven merchants.. i just bought 2 cages.. didn't check if anything was inside 1st though.
a look at the animal didn't shown item or wounds.

just had a look at where one of the new cages is.. and on that tile are a bunch of goods that i didn't buy.. so i guess the mule in the cage was carrying those items and that's what it was unloading.. weird stuff
wonder if i got them for free or if it's included with the price of the cage.
...
incidentally... i can see my trappers grabbing armors and placing them on the floor in his bedroom.. would putting an armor stand/weapon rack in there help? do i need to set them to accept everything? (doesn't really make sense to have to set it, to be honest)
