I've edited out the EXOTIC tags in the animals I'm looking to train and they have the TRAINABLE tag. I've logged out of DF a few times. I've even restarted my computer a few times. The animals aren't in pasture but wandering around the fort. But my trainer doesn't seem to recognize them. "...cancels Train War Animal: No creature."

What have I missed?

I think you need to regen a new world for modded raws to take effect.

EDIT: I did some research and discovered that you don't need to generate a new world. You just need to make the changes in the "save" file for your existing world rather than in the general raw file. Now I have a war bear.
