Kenshi - realistic open world RPG/RTS hybrid

http://www.lofigames.com/

I just found out about this game a few weeks ago, and I have to say it looks amazing. The eventual goal is to have a procedurally generated and persistent world with various cities/factions/bandits etc who all pursue their own goals, independently of you. You can recruit men and control each one individually, RTS-style.

There's a playable alpha out, but there's not much to do yet in the game world. However, if content continues to be added, I can easily see this game topping Mount & Blade in the "epic-battle-size, open-world RPG" genre.

And then, they will be weaponized. Like everything in this game, from kittens to babies, everything is a potential device of murder.
So if baseless speculation is all we have, we might as well treat it like fact.

Haha, I actually used the search button, but somehow missed that thread and stumbled on the one on which the last post was 2010. I was gonna necro that one, but I figured a new topic would be cleaner. Oh well, mods can lock this if they want.
