Considering your the first person I've ever heard to find the game too difficult, you may just be really bad at video games?

Considering that I'm in the process of playing Halo: Reach on Legendary at the moment, probably not...

Perhaps you are simple bad at games that don't play the way Halo does then - it wouldn't be the first time I've seen someone become "good" at one sort of game, causing them to actually play another game WORSE than someone who didn't really play games at all.

Like the people who claim X-com is super hard even on easy, when it really isn't, but they're so used to a different sort of TBS that they simply can't adapt to a different sort of playstyle.

Resident Evil 5 was MUCH easier than any of the other Resident Evil games, in my opinion. But Sheva made it a bit harder to play. All she did was either run out and get killed or stand right in front of you, blocking your bullets.

If you've never played RE games before, you don't have the 5+ titles worth of experience knowing when it's time to run. It's an art form, not to put too fine a point on it, and RE5 kind of pushes the limits of the system where it basically expects you, at regular intervals, to run through hordes of guys.

Minecraft UI is very simple. There's only so many ways you can implement "simple" without copying something. We also gonna complain that it uses WASD?

RE4 did the same thing Shadow. You start off going into a house and discovering the first zombie, then after killing a couple you go into the next area; a town. There you either have to kill 20+ normal zombies or kill a 1-hit-ko chainsaw zombie with more HP then should be really put into play at that point in the game to stop the other zombies from coming.

Its not really impossibly hard; you can camp the start and still win most of the time, but its a harsh introduction.

What Rex said.

The thing about the openings of 4 and 5 is that they expect you to shape up and learn how not to get yourself killed. They do this by killing you repeatedly until you figure out how to avoid the swarms of angry spainards/africans. Once you've learned that, you just have to apply those tactics to the rest of the game and you're pretty much golden.

"Compatibility mode", dude. If he tries running it under "capatability mode" some terrible thing involving elder gods will probably happen.

Yeah, it might be a few days late, but the knife works wonders in 4. Not so much in 5, though. Just don't try using it against chainsaw wielders, especially in 4 [Doctor Salvador is a lot worse than the Chainsaw Majini] unless you want to lose your head [pun intended].
