Any good screen recording software for games?

I tried Camstudio, but it lagged my computer and the video sucked.
I tried the free Fraps, but 30 seconds at a time... and the watermark... :/
Any other suggestions?

P.S. I'd really prefer not to y'arrrr stuff.

Fraps is a very popular software, so I'd suggest that. It's pretty much THE program professional and amateur videogaming Youtubers use.

Have you tried xfire? Depending on what games you play you might be able to record in-game.

Fraps is expensive, 47$, while Xfire is free and acts as a gaming-oriented messenger as well. (well, it's primarily a messenger and organizer. The video feature is an extra.)

I'll try both xfire and Taksi, but unless they encrypt it there's always a temp file or a downloader to do it ;)
