(Dwarven) Gummi Bears!
« on: January 20, 2012, 10:47:52 pm »

Forgive me if this has been posted.  I don't frequent these forums as much as I used to.

Anyway, I stumbled across this video while reliving childhood memories and trying to find stuff my 3-year old son would like.  If it ain't dwarven, I don't know what is!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PDtEkqBsag

The short version:  Alone on an island which is inaccessible due to being surrounded entirely by waterfalls, a single gummi bear works for 12 years on carving a giant dragon statue out of the side of a volcano so that when the magma rises high enough, the dragon will breathe fire.

The only thing more dwarven would be if he pumped the magma up himself.

With an OCD for organising? Battle axe and a hatred for boats? VILE FORCE OF DARKNESS :O
>Then Moses effect, followed by magma dragon vomit and an engraver with a strange mood?

Damn, major Dorf bucks right there.

Great.

So here I was, happy that I had nothing to do today but eat my brother's birthday roast, and you bring me this.
Now I get dreams of casting obsidian. How can I pay attention to my brother's birthday "party" while thinking of the obsidian casting I need to do in Rimamused? How? HOW?

"But isn't this dangerous?" "Nah, I wear goggles." That kinda sums it up. (Maybe not the episode, but things we do here, for sure. "E, isn't that dangerous?" "I do suggest looking away or going outside, yeah.")

I liked the "Eeyup" at 21:25, that was nice.

Wow what happend to cartoons they used to be like this, now all we have is adventure time.

Or I think the correct translation of that is marajuhana time.

Gummi Bears are now the dwarfiest bears there are.

Oh, and I should note that this is my son's current favorite video.  Okay, this and How to Train Your Dragon.  Kind of on a dragon kick lately.  But I'm still going to take this as a sign that he's a future DF player.  And if he's lucky, DF will be a completed game....sometime before he dies.
