Giant Toads, Trolls, Dralthas are fodder for my militia. I haven't even seen a FB yet after SIX years.

Clowns seem out of the question as the forums talks about them being a no doubt about it, demise to your fortress.
The only way to "win" DF is to conquer the circus and make a base in it. Build up your military a bit, and then charge to glory and death. If you survive, grats. If you fail, then you can start somewhere else and see if you can get some goblins to rescue your children from you.

Ugh. So, no elven sieges at all? And invasions are turned on. I'm using Lazy Newb Pack and I have it clearly selected.

Nope. Unless you have a diplomat from them, I guess the chance of sieges are little.

Okay, so... Let me get this straight..

Elven sieges - No Diplomat - No siege
Human sieges - No Diplomat - No siege?
Goblin sieges - No idea - No siege
FB's - No explanation - No attacks

Am I correct on this? Still not sure why I haven't been attacked by an FB though..

If there aren't a lot of megabeasts left in the world, maybe. How long was your worldgen?

Another thing I haven't seen mentioned (though I only skimmed, so I might have just missed it) is the data > d_init.txt file. Pop that open real quick and make sure you have [INVADERS:YES] instead of [INVADERS:NO], will you? It affects megabeasts and organized sieges.

Incidentally, humans do send diplomats if you have a baron/duke/count.

Goblins hate your guts.

They will attack if they know you are there. Good thing you aren't  :P

Check if they died out early in the Legends?

I have Lazy Newb Pack, which has the INVADERS:YES/NO toggle option. I set the world gen to medium (250).

I guess I will have to backup my save and look into Legends..

Looks like the Dark Fortress nearest to me was wiped out, from what I can tell. There are still several left though. Will they be able to get to me or might I possibly out of Goblin reaches?

humans send a di[lomat when you have a baron usually. The slimy buggers note your traps on the way in though, and if ever going to war will tell their troops about it

Screw it. Caution to the wind and stairs to the circus. Sick of this peaceful fort that couldn't get any easier.
