With a straight edge? Hard to know what your exact question is, can you give us more context?

1. Get a good ruler
2. Get some graph paper
3. Get a mechanical pencil with a fairly small lead size
4. Draw the curve
5. Compute the derivative and get the equation of the tangent line at whichever point
6. Draw on the tangent line like you would any other line you've got an equation for (just grab two points and connect them with the ruler; the easiest ones are the axis intercepts).

Ta da.

Purchase a large piece of graph paper.

Bend a large steel rod into the shape of the curve.

Using some drawer wheels, screws, and a right angle, mount a crossbow on the bar so that it moves freely and is mounted at a right angle to the bar at that point, with the crossbow sideways and away from you.

Attach a pencil perpendicular to the bolt you've just loaded into the crossbow so that it barely touches the paper, which should be hung up next to the metal bar. on the side the top of the crossbow faces.

Move the crossbow to the point where you wish to add the tangent.

Fire. Repeat as needed for additional tangents.
