Say It Ain't So...!
« on: January 22, 2012, 12:39:49 am »

Okay... I finally got a guitar after about 2-3 years of not having one. And I got a new digital camera recently. So I decided to try them both out, in conjunction.

Just thought I'd share. I'm a complete amateur, but I do enjoy playing music a bit every now and then.  :D

For a few years of not using a guitar I think you're doing just fine.

Well, thanks! I'm definitely pretty rusty, but I think after a few weeks of raw fingers, I'll be in better shape.

One thing is that the offbeat strumming during the verse is an upstroke, not a downstroke; it's like skanking, almost.

Yep, watch the video. I am hitting the strings on the upstroke, not down. It's not a technique I was familiar with before (recently) learning this song, though, so I'm not very good at it yet.
