Whats going on with this forum?  Its awful slow.  Dog slow.  Gateway down errors appearing every other click.  Got sick of hitting refresh/reload, and did a trace to www.bay12forums.com, haven't ya paid the bill for this shell account, Toady?  2nd to last hop is timing out.  See it, hop 15 took 30ms?  Sometimes it takes forever, to get thru that one.

Mmm... Yeah, seems to be going a bit slower than usual at times.

Regrettably, I'm not familiar enough with traces (Read: at all) to make sense of that list beyond that DC and a city next to Jersey City are involved. And maybe Washington if that's not just DC again.

I believe Toady's somewhere on the west coast, if that's a factor at all (Probably not, I guess.).

The command 'tracert' allows you to see what servers a site users on the way to your computer.

Start, Run, type CMD to get C: prompt.
Type: tracert www.bay12forums.com
Right click the window, and choose Mark(no copy option, just mark)
Then sorta drag a block of highlighting, CAD-style, over the area you wish to copy.
Open the msg box, and then right click to get a menu, and choose Paste

Works for the numeric IP value and not URL, too.  Can also do a ping www.bleh.com, to see time that way.  I prefer to see the nodes however.  I doubt this is Toady's server, its this free forum server, it prolly is hosting a bunch of other people's crap, which is slowing them down.  Shame.  It has really been producing many gateway errors here, from where I link up, in PA, USA.  My hop into the oversub'd Verizon network sometimes lags to hell.  But this appears to be on the forum end.
