Food rots excessively fast when left in kitchen
« on: September 07, 2006, 07:05:00 pm »

I just had a stack of 61 prepared roasts go from fresh to rotten in about half a season while inside of a kitchen. Food doesn't rot half this fast while laying in the dirt.

I think the main difference is that food stockpiles seem to slow down rotting, ESPECIALLY for prepared food. Food in the kitchen seems to rot just as fast as food in the trade depot (grrr) and food that gets dropped somewhere random, but prepared food sitting in a stockpile (not in a barrel, just out in the stockpile) lasts YEARS.

Food in stockpiles shouldn't rot at all.  That's just a game thingy.  I could force you to put it all in barrels.  Maybe that would be mean.
