Correction, they'd be STUCK TO the walls.

The only sollution then is obsidian casting.  Then they may be remembered in the statuary garden, preferably with an image of magnets and dwarves.  The dwarves are laboring.  The mangnets are cringing.

If dwarves can make computers out of rocks and wood, they can figure out how to climb up metal walls with magnetism.

Spiderdwarf, Spiderdwarf, does whatever a Spiderdwarf does. Can he swing, from a web, no he can't, he's just a magnet. Look out, he menaces with spikes of magnet!

Reminding me of the scene in Court Jester where the guy's suit of armor is struck by lightning and becomes magnetized. God damn hilarious scene as he and a knight walk down the aisle to speak to the king and are basically stuck together.
