help for a linux noob?

Hey all, I'm trying get DF to run. I think I have everything I need (downloaded ia32-libs and installed ).
When I try to run the df file it gives me an error :
root@thor:/home/thor/Documents/df_linux# bash df
No protocol specified
Display not found and PRINT_MODE not set to TEXT, aborting.

Try "./df".
